CAP Scholarship Application
Scholarship Process
- Students must be presently enrolled at RCTC and be in the process
of completing their program major, with graduation by spring or summer 2010.
- Students must be in good academic standing with the college and a resident
of Olmsted County.
- Students must have a household income BELOW 200% of the Federal Poverty
Guideline, and
cannot already be working with a 3rd party program to have most college expenses
paid.
- Applicants must sign the release on the back of this application.
- There will be eight $1500 scholarships given through this scholarship
using the American
Recovery & Reinvestment ACT (ARRA) funds through Olmsted Community Action
Program.
- Scholarship awards must be used to pay for RCTC tuition only (up to
$1500).
- Scholarship recipients agree to work with Olmsted CAP agency and will
be enrolled into their
program. This program will require an application for CAP with proof of household
income and
residency, as well as follow-up information including graduation date and
employment gained.
- Students will submit at least one letter of reference with their completed
scholarship application.
- RCTC CAP Scholarship Committee will review and award scholarships.
- Students who RECEIVE awards will be notified by December 15th, 2009.
- Scholarship awards will be transferred to the RCTC Business Office after
the 8th class day of the
semester.
- Application must be complete or it will not be reviewed.

RCTC is asking you to provide information that includes private and/or

are not legally required to provide the information RCTC is requesting; however
RCTC may not be able to effectively process your scholarship application if

tax purposes;
- if the information is sought with a subpoena, court order, or otherwise
permitted by other state or federal law, and
- to an organization engaged in educational research or accrediting agency.
