The news package must include audio and visual components , and be submitted on a video DVD or Blu-ray. The news package must be 2-5 minutes in length. |

| American Business Women's Association Rochester Charter Chapter Scholarship It shall be awarded to a female student entering the second year of study at RCTC, majoring in the area of business and demonstrating academic achievement with a 3.0 GPA or higher. The Student must be a U.S. Citizen and be from Olmsted, Wabasha, Goodhue, Dodge, Mower, Fillmore, Houston or Winona County. |
| American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers Scholarship Awarded to a returning student in the CAD, BUM, or Mechanical Engineering program (not maintenance engineering) with a 2.5 GPA and living within a 50 mile radius of RCTC. Essay required showing demonstrated interest in the building industry (HVAC) and preference will be given to applicants in student chapters of engineering groups. Financial need will be a consideration. Recipient will be encouraged to attend monthly ASHRAE meetings at no expense to the student. |

Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and have completed the majority of their credits at RCTC. All applicants must submit a digital portfolio on a clearly labeled CD in (please clearly write student's name and Art + Design Scholarship Application on the CD in permanent "sharpie" marker). The CD should contain five images of the student's artwork in PDF format for consideration. The award may be used toward tuition expense, book or software purchase, art supplies, or the payment of college fees. |

Student should demonstrate financial need, be a member of the Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association (SADHA). A brief essay is required about the students goals and values as they relate to the dental hygiene profession. |

| Eric Schwanke Outdoorsman Memorial Scholarship The recipient of the Eric Schwanke Outdoorsman Memorial Scholarship will be a returning or graduating student pursuing a law enforcement, criminal justice, intensive care paramedic, or environmental studies degree with a career goal in law enforcement, criminal justice, the department of natural resources, paramedic, emergency medical technician, firefighter or related career. The student should possess a 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to students who have a demonstrated passion in the outdoors, wildlife, and/or habitat conservation through volunteerism, organizations, or hobbies such as hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities. A brief essay is required detailing career goals and these life interests. |

| Iris Fried Student Support Services Scholarship Awarded to an active participant in the Student Support Services/TRiO Program, who has a completed fall and spring ISP on file, who will enroll in and attend at least 9 credits for fall semester 2010, remain an active member of the SSS Program and has a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. An essay (500 word min.) is required. "Explain how Student Support Services has impacted your future life plans." |
| Izaak Walton League, Rochester Chapter, Scholarship Awarded to a student with a declared field of study related to conservation or a strong preference for a conservation field. Preference will be given to students who attended high school in Olmsted County, followed by students from SE Minnesota counties, and financial need. | James & Priscilla Russell Nursing Scholarship Awarded to a non-traditional student accepted into the RCTC Nursing Program, or a second year non-traditional student already in the program. Academic potential for success is the first criteria with need an equally important factor. If the scholarship recipient successfully completes the first year, he or she is eligible to apply for the second year, however, the student with the greatest need will be awarded. This scholarship is to assist a student who desires to become a registered nurse but has limited financial resources such as supporting a family or working full-or part-time to support him or herself while enrolled in the RCTC Nursing Program. |

| John, Adolph, and Pauline Peterson Horticulture Scholarship Awarded to Incoming or Returning Students with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Preference will be given to students coming from families who have worked in horticulture, agriculture, or related fields who are pursuing an A.A. S. degree planning a career in greenhouse management or a horticulture specialty. Recipient must commit to providing 10 hours of volunteer service each semester to a worthy organization such as Chester Woods Park, Seasons Hospice, the Salvation Army, or American/MN Chapter Red Cross doing fall clean-up spring planting, etc. The student should be enrolled full-time with pro-ration of the scholarship for part-time students. |

| Presidential Second Year Presidential Scholarships are awarded to Minnesota residents with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.9 and/or class rank in the top five percent (5%) of their graduating class. Preference is given to students demonstrating leadership and community involvement. Work-study faculty mentorships are required for second semester and during the second year. Achieving a 3.3 GPA while attending RCTC is required for continued funding. Application Deadline: Presidential scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first serve basis. | Ray Mikesh Distinguished Theatre Scholarship Awarded to a student graduating from RCTC who is pursuing a four-year degree that will enable a professional career in the theater or theater education. The student must have distinguished him or herself in RCTC theater productions (majority) and/or additional theatre productions in such areas as assistant director, actor, scenery designer or costumer. The recipient must have been and plans to be a full time student with a minimum graduating grade point average of 3.0. |

The recipient should be a second year/returning student and can be enrolled full or part-time. |
