Congratulations to Terry LaBare for being awarded the November Best Bee Award! Terry has been employed at RCTC since 1993 and works as a General Maintenance Worker on the third shift team. Here is what Terry’s nominator shared about him: Terry is a born leader. The employees in the Facilities Department at RCTC have witnessed his excellent work ethic first hand. He is truly committed every day to making sure RCTC is a better learning facility when goes out the door than when he came in. Examples of how Terry displays RCTC’s values include the following: Innovation: Terry is always open to new ideas about ways to perform a task or use a tool that can be time or money saving. Excellence: He finds it difficult and sometimes impossible to settle for end results less than excellent. He is inspired to go above and beyond expectations required of his position because the standards he sets for himself in everything he does are so high Fun: Terry is the first one to suggest having a cook-out or some type of similar activity. Learner-Centered: Terry always takes the needs and cares of the student into consideration when he works toward completing a task. He knows if certain things aren’t clear or fixed it could and probably will distract from a student’s concentration toward learning. Respect: Terry shows respect in many ways. He hardly ever misses any work and seldom ever complains about anything. He recognizes the efforts put forth by many of the people at RCTC and treats them accordingly. He always exhibits a pleasant greeting and helpful attitude towards everyone. Teamwork: Terry has natural leadership qualities that make it easy for him to identify what it takes to make a team develop and be sustained. We look to him for leadership because of his decision making skills and his confidence. He prompts us to collaborate with each other so that we can all devote our best to RCTC. When people say there isn’t an “I” in team, Terry is the first to acknowledge and embrace this fact. Congratulations Terry! As Best Bee for the Month of November, Terry is being recognized with a personalized certificate and the employee of the month parking space.
