COURSE READINESS
(RCTC Policy 3.3.1)
Part 1. Purpose: The implementation of this policy allows RCTC to adhere to MnSCU Board Policy, Chapter 3, 3.3 Assessment for College Readiness, by ensuring students enrolled in courses have achieved the prerequisite academic skill levels.
Part 2. Procedures.
Prerequisites are published so students may understand the preparation
expected of him/her before he/she enters a course. It is the student’s
responsibility to ensure that prerequisites are satisfied.
A student’s course enrollment may be cancelled if the student does not meet the prerequisites, if he/she does not take the assessment test, or if he/she registers for a course that is inconsistent with his/her assessment results.
