CakeHappy Birthday, RCTC!

At 11 a.m. on September 14, get the first peek at the unveiling of the History Wall on second floor Student Services, then join us for cupcakes at the giant cake in the Atrium.

This celebration commemorates September 14, 1915, when Dr. Charles Mayo presented a motion to the Rochester School Board to found a Rochester community college. The Mayo Brothers recognized the need for higher education in this community, both as a source of trained employees and also to “round out” the community and provide educational and intellectual opportunities for young people.

This year marks a “Century of Excellence” that this institution has been offering post-secondary education to residents of southeast Minnesota and beyond.

This event is free and open to the public.
