  • Darin Hoffman designed the new mascot, Sting.

  • In 1999, the College became a part of the Malcolm Baldrige Program.

  • After serving as interim president, Don Supalla was appointed the permanent president of RCTC.

  • On July 1, 1996, RCTC became official. The community and technical colleges combined and were dedicated on September, 1996, but President Karen Nagle.

  • The football program at RCTC showed itself to be something to be reckoned with.

  • Then President George W. Bush visited the Rochester area and spoke at the RCTC campus.

  • In 1996, MnSCU called that community and technicals colleges combine along with a single administration.

  • In 2000, the team went undefeated and captured the NJCAA Division III National Football Championship.
