Roy Goddard becomes the College’s fourth director
in 1925.

A
new chemistry lab is added in 1927.

The
year 1927 saw the establishment of the Medical Secretary
Terminal Course the first of its kind in the nation.

The
RJC Bulletin established in 1925 and later becomes
known as the Jay See Echo in 1932.

The
first Yearbook “The Pandect” is published
in the 1927-1928 academic year.

RJC
is a founding member of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) with
the formation of the Omnicron chapter in January 1927.
The College’s chapter is among the oldest in
the nation. Ms. Barthelemy serves as the PTK
advisor for 30 years.

| Several
faculty who would dramatically impact the college
for years come to RJC including Alice Endicott hired
for Science faculty in 1928. Marie Matt hired
in 1931 to teach German and English, Flora McGhee
1927 to teach speech and English and Louise Barthelemy
taught French and English. |
The
1927 Class play is “A Midsummer Nights Dream |
The
early thirties bring about the creation of an 11 piece
orchestra in 1930. The first musical revue is
produced in 1931. In 1932 a mixed chorus formed
and in 1933 the Gamma Rho journalistic group formed.
They sponsor first Yellowjacket Day.

Men’s
basketball captures its RJC’s first Southern
Minnesota championship in 1924-25 season and is
coached by Charles Singley.

The
Girl’s Choral Club, Rajesters Dramatic and Music
Club are formed in 1927 |
1930
witnessed the second southern Minnesota championship
for the football yellowjackets under the leader
ship of Jim Clark. The team also won in 1927 due
to a reversal of a game. 1930 was the
first outright football championship.
