Dear New Colleagues:
Welcome to Rochester Community and Technical College! We in Teaching and Learning are pleased to have your good services in the classroom this year.
One of the most difficult tasks for new faculty is finding their way around the mass of people and places and rules at an institution the size and complexity of RCTC. I want to strongly encourage you to seek assistance in getting acclimated from the experienced and more-than-capable academic deans: Jay Lee and Drs. Nirmala Kotagal, Barb Mollerg and Bret Fuller. (There is even a small chance that I can be of similar service, so don’t hesitate to contact me, too!)
Within this website, you will find a number of documents and other materials which should help make your getting started here a bit easier. I would appreciate your looking through everything carefully.
If your first days here are anything like mine were just a few years ago, you will feel more than a bit overwhelmed. I can assure you this will pass! These are exciting times for Rochester Community and Technical College, and the new academic year promises new opportunities for all of us in Teaching and Learning. I welcome your involvement in helping the College continue its excellence in and outside the classroom.
Regards,

M.K. Bequette, Ph.D.
