RCTC Yellowjacket Athletics
The mission of the RCTC Yellowjacket Strength & Conditioning program is to promote growth and personal gains, while teaching proper technique, offering sound nutritional feedback and to ensure durability and injury prevention. It is the objective of the Strength & Conditioning staff to provide RCTC the RCTC football program, and its athletes a comprehensive plan to achieve all athletic based goals. We will provide our student athletes with the means to train with intensity, commitment, discipline, and desire while maintaining teamwork throughout.

The Yellowjacket Strength & Conditioning Program incorporates a variety
of lifts and methodologies throughout the year to maximize every individual
athletes potential. Athletes will work to achieve their individual goals as
well as team goals.
Our S&C program is broken down into three phases throughout the year, (pre-season,
in-season, off-season) with rest periods built in for recovery. Our In-season
works consists of maintaining a strength base and improve power. Off-season
lifting will incorporate and concentrate more on maximal lifting, speed, agility
and dynamic flexibility. We believe core exercises should be at the epicenter
of our program, just as the core supports the body, core exercises strengthening
the abdominals as well as the back are extremely important to what we accomplish.
Athletes who participate in our S&C program will have an opportunity to
increase Power, Strength, Speed, Agility, Balance, Flexibility and Coordination.
Athletes will be tested on their explosivity, lateral/linear movements, vertical
jump, strength and power using the following tests; hang clean, squat, bench
press, vertical jump, broad jump, Pro Agility, 3LCD and the 40x.
“The ability to succeed lies in your own desire, dedication, discipline, and commitment to achieving your personal goals as well as the goals of our TEAM”.
