Head Football Coach - Derrick Hintz is entering his 13th year with the Yellowjackets. This will be Coach Hintz’ first year as the head football coach after coaching LB’s, OL, coordinating the special teams, and serving as the defensive coordinator. Coach Hintz coached from 1995-1999 with Coach Swisher, 2000 with Coach Siefert, 2002-03 with Coach Hosier, and 2007-2010 with Coach LaPlante. Coach Hintz has nearly 40 seasons of coaching experience in high school football, college football, high school wrestling, and high school track and field. Coach Hintz has his BS in Technology Education from UW-Stout (where he also wrestled,) and his MA in Applied Kinesiology-Sports Science from the University of Minnesota. Coach Hintz teaches Technology Education and engineering at Byron High school, where he is also the throws coach for the track team. Last, but certainly not least Coach Hintz is married to Deb (the world’s best football coaches wife) and has a son Matthew-16 and a daughter Maddeson-13, who have long been part of the Yellowjacket family. |

Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks/Wide Receivers Coach – Kyle Barnes is in his 3rd year for RCTC. Kyle is originally from Fredericksburg, VA, where he was an All-Region Offensive Linemen at Massaponax High School. Kyle then went to play Fullback and Tight End at Division II Concord University in Athens, WV. In 2007, Kyle joined the coaching staff at Concord as a student assistant TE coach. After graduating from Concord, Kyle moved to Mason City, IA, where he coached Wide Receivers at North Iowa Area Community College. After one season, Kyle was promoted to Co-Offensive Coordinator for the Trojans before joining the Yellowjackets in 2009. The Yellowjackets offense has been ranked #1 in scoring offense and total yards each of the past two seasons while posting a 20-4 record and the 2010 MCAC Championship. Email: kyle.barnes@roch.edu |
Running Backs Coach - Mike Baudoin is in his second year at RCTC and has over 25 years coaching experience in the Rochester Youth Football, Basketball and Baseball Associations as well as several years with the Rochester Royals/Blues Amateur Baseball Club. Mike is from nearby Grand Meadow, MN and graduated from Austin Pacelli HS in 1972 where he was named to Minnesota State High School Independent League All-Conference and All-State Teams in Football, Basketball and Baseball. He was also a 2 time Parade Magazine All American Honorable Mention in Basketball and Football. Mike attended RCTC in 1972 & 73 where he was an All-Conference Honorable Mention Running Back as well as All-Conference, All-State and All-Region in Basketball and Baseball. Mike has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Winona State University and has been employed at the Mayo Clinic for 11 years in IT Systems Support. Mike and his lovely bride of 36 years Betty have an ever-growing family which currently includes Daughter Monica and Son-In-Law Mark (Theel) and Grandson Carson (Born 06/27/11). Offensive Line/Titght Ends Coach – Ryan Fogarty enters his sixth season at RCTC. Ryan played for the Yellowjackets during the 2001 and 2002 football seasons. After RCTC, Ryan played the 2003 and 2004 football seasons at Upper Iowa University. Ryan graduated from Upper Iowa in December of 2005, with a degree in Elementary Education. Ryan currently works at Mayo High School in Rochester. Ryan also coaches basketball in the Dover-Eyota School District and is an assistant boy’s track and field coach at Mayo High School in Rochester. Email: ryan.fogarty@roch.edu |

Defensive Backs Coach/Special Teams Coordinator- Wilfred Thomasenters his second season at RCTC as Defensive Backs Coach. Wilfred is originally from Sanford, Fl. where he graduated from Seminole H.S. He played football, baseball, wrestling, and ran track. Wilfred graduated from Bethune Cookman College where he played football and baseball. Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers Coach/Strength and Conditioning Coordinator- Bill Quistorff is beginning his second year coaching at RCTC. Last year he coached the Defensive Line and this will be his first year coaching the linebackers, as well as taking on the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator duties. Bill is originally from Osakis, MN, where he was a three sport letter winner and helped lead his football team to the state tournament semi-finals two years in a row. He was an All-State Running Back and Defensive Back and still holds school rushing records for yards in a season and carries in a season. He is a former Yellowjacket linebacker who was part of the state championship team and played in The Heart of Texas Bowl in 2003. Bill was All-Region HM and a team captain in 2006 along with graduating and becoming RCTC Alumni. He went on to finish his college football career at Bemidji State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education in May 2010. Bill currently works in the Rochester School District and still continues to play football as a linebacker and team leader for the Rochester Giants. Email: william.quistorff@roch.edu |
| Stats – John Attewell is starting his third year with the Yellowjackets. John is originally from South Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has a BS in biology from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. He has a PhD in both plant science and applied statistics from the University of Tennessee. John has served in the US Army, worked as a plant breeder and agronomist and recently completed a computer science major at RCTC. He is currently a Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic. | |

Team Manager – Brandon Butturff. Brandon is 26 years old and is in his 6th year at RCTC as a team manager. Before coming to RCTC he was the Stewartville football team manager for 3 years. |
