Steve Hucke, Head Coach This will be Coach Hucke's 8th year as the Head Coach. The RCTC Women's Basketball Team has gone 135-59 over past 7 years highlighted by winning the 2009 NJCAA DIII National Championship with a perfect 34-0 record. The fast break style of the Yellowjackets have garnered not only a National Championship but have won the Region XIII A Championship(2009), MCAC State and Southern Division Championships the past 2 seasons. The Yellowjackets have been ranked in the top 5 in the nation the past 5 seasons. The Women's team has participated in the MCAC State Tournament regularly since 2004 and in the Region XIII A Championship the past 2 seasons.. He has coached 2 NJCAA 1st All-Americans, 2 3rd All-Americans, 1 Honorable Mention All-American. 2 Distinguished Academic All-Americans as well as the 2009 Team receiving Academic honors this past season. He was named as 2009 National Tournament Coach of the Tournament, 2009 Region XIII Coach of the Year., He is a 2 time MCAC Southern Division Coach of the Year(2009 & 2006). Along with being the Head Women's Coach, he is the Head Baseball Coach and teaches in the Physical Education Department. He resides in Byron with his wife, Dawn and their 2 children Danielle and Collin. |

Chris Stenzel, Assistant Coach Chris enters his 5th season as an assistant coach at RCTC. Prior to coming to RCTC, he spent 13 years as an assistant girls basketball coach at Rochester Mayo High School. Since his arrival the Yellowjacket defense has become one of the elite teams in the nation. The Yellowjacket Defense has been ranked in the top 10 in the nation allowing on average only 55 point per game. He is in charge of the recruiting within the Women’s Basketball team and has been an intergral part in the development of the players and the charge to the National Champoinship. “Chris does a great job in recognizing top talent for our program, Coach Hucke commented, “He is also a defensive guru who does a great job of setting up our defensive game plan.” Chris is from Freeborn, MN. He received his AA in Pre-Education at RCTC and his BS in Physical Education from Southwest State University. While he attended RCTC, he played for the RCTC Yellowjacket Football team. He currently works at Rochester Off-Campus Charter School and resides in Rochester with his wife Jackie. |

Mark Kellen, Assistant Coach Coach K is entering his 3rd year as an assistant coach at RCTC. He is very active in AAU Girls Basketball over the summer as he and his brother operate an AAU team our of Southwest Minnesota. He came to RCTC after coaching at Centennial High School in their boys program. He is in charge of Special Plays, out of bounds plays, helps with guard development, assists with recruiting and fundraising for the Women’s Basketball team. “ Mark has done a great job with our specials and the development of our guard play, Hucke commented, “he loves the game of basketball and it comes out in his coaching. “ Mark currently is the Director of Knowledge Beginnings, a Childcare and Preschool in Rochester. He lives in Rochester and has a daughter, Olivia. |

Justin Moore, Assistant Coach Coach Moore joined the RCTC Staff this year after moving to the Rochester area this summer. He comes to RCTC from Tennessee. He did some coaching while in Tennessee but this will be his first extensive coaching experience. “Justin has a great passion for the game,” Hucke stated, “this will be a learning experience for him and we are glad to have him.” He will assist in all areas of the program but will concentrate on the post play. Justin currently is the Customer Care Supervisor at Wal-Mart in Rochester. His wife works at the Mayo Clinic and they reside in Byron, MN. |
