The 2009 RCTC Softball team finished the season as the MCAC Southern Conference Champs with a record of 18-2. Region XIII A Champs and placed 4th at the NJCAA Div. III National Tournament – which was played on their home field. The Lady Jackets wrapped up the season with a 35-7 overall record. Sophomores Alyssa Mackey (CF) and Amy Fordham (2B) were named to the NJCAA National Tournament All-Tournament Team.
Two Yellowjackets were also named as NJCAA Div. III All-Americans, Freshman DeAnna Mock (P), and Sophomore Amy Fordham (2B). Mock ended the year with a record of 15-2 with a 1.27 ERA, 132 innings pitched and 122 strikeouts on the mound. Fordham led the Yellowjackets with a batting avg. of .414, 5 doubles, 3 triples, 20 stolen bases and 39 RBI’s on the year.
