Career/Program Overview:
The Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Electronic Technician Certificate is designed to prepare students for careers requiring skills in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC electrical / electronic and mechanical equipment found in residential and commercial buildings. Instruction the first semester includes courses in electrical and electronic components and circuitry, electrical controls, and programmable logic controls. Courses in residential and commercial refrigeration, air conditioning, pneumatics, heating and cooling controls, and computerized energy management systems comprise the second semester instruction. Graduates may be employed as service technicians in the heating/ventilation/air conditioning (H.V.A.C.) field, building trades, and some are self-employed in the H.V.A.C. field.

Program/Degree Options
RCTC offers a certificate in HVAC ELEC TECH. The certificate can be completed in as little as two years if taken full-time. Part-time options are also available.
