Winter Term LIFERS:
The State of Minnesota will celebrate its Sesquicentennial in 2008. The LIFE Spring Program will include a visit to the Minnesota History Center. Here in Rochester, LIFE students will get an early start on the year's activities with a February class by Storyteller Kevin Strauss on "150 Years of Stories in the Northstar State."
In this brochure you will note opportunities to meet some fascinating folks through a LIFE Class:
There are many valuable learning opportunities waiting for you in the following pages:
We, on the LIFE Board, are enthusiastic about this upcoming cluster of classes. We welcome Nancy Gilliland, Sylvie Nickel, and Pat Walsh to the Board. Yes, it is great on a wintry day to get cozy at home with a good book, but it also expands the horizon to head out to the Heintz Center on the east edge of Rochester and join other eager students in a LIFE class.
A Parking Tip: If your class is in a Heintz Room starting with the letter HA then we recommend that you park on the EAST SIDE of the center. If, however, your class is in HB117, then you will find it more convenient to park in the WEST LOT. Wherever you park, come with an open mind and the high expectation that a worthwhile class is waiting for you. Looking forward to seeing you this winter.
