2010 STEM Summer Camp inspired students by showing them real-world, problem-solving applications as well as exposure to fascinating technologies they may not have yet encountered. Two Camps were offered August 2-6, 2010.
STEM CAMP #1 - The Apprentice, students designed their own video game; developed their own logo using computer aided drafting; learned about green energy and built their own solar powered vehicle.
STEM CAMP #2 - Students became Junior Forensic Investigators. Students conducted lab experiments, took samples from a crime scene, gathered evidence and solved the crime using critical thinking skills. Fingerprinting, DNA analysis, team skills and the use of technology gave them the tools to solve the murder mystery.
