Career Info Programs
Discover, SIGIplus, and the Minnesota Career Information System (MCIS)
are very user-friendly and are available free of charge through the
RCTC Career Center to both students and non-students. You could
do the following by using these interesting computerized career planning
and information systems:
- Access a comprehensive career planning program that allows you to
complete any number of modules at one sitting, and then return another
time to begin where you left off.
- Find information fast regarding specific occupations and careers,
including educational requirements, projected future demand, salary
range, desirable personal characteristics, and more. You can
then make a printout of the information to take with you.
- Do a search for desirable colleges and occupations based on the
criteria that is important to you.
For more information about these computerized systems or to set
up an appointment with a counselor for an introduction to Discover,
MCIS, or SIGIplus, call (507) 285-7260.
