Computerized Career Info Programs

Discover, SIGIplus, and the Minnesota Career Information System (MCIS) are very user-friendly and are available free of charge through the RCTC Career Center to both students and non-students.  You could do the following by using these interesting computerized career planning and information systems:

  1. Access a comprehensive career planning program that allows you to complete any number of modules at one sitting, and then return another time to begin where you left off.
     
  2. Find information fast regarding specific occupations and careers, including educational requirements, projected future demand, salary range, desirable personal characteristics, and more.  You can then make a printout of the information to take with you.
     
  3. Do a search for desirable colleges and occupations based on the criteria that is important to you.
