This season the men’s basketball team boasts a handful of talented individuals who have earned themselves recognition for their achievements on the court.

In Mankato, they proudly had players in double figures to beat Bethany Lutheran. In a following game, the Yellowjackets competed against Anoka-Ramsey in the NJCAA Region XIII championship game with Anoka beating RCTC 100 Ò 83.

“Anoka is really good, they’re ranked No. 1 in country for a reason,” RCTC coach Brian LaPlante said. “They’re tough to defend. We didn’t get off to a good start, burned a couple timeouts and we only shot 29 percent in the first half.”

Even with the devastating loss, the Yellowjackets kept up good moral. The players continue to work hard on and off the court through the rest of the season.

The men’s basketball team played Dakota Community and Technical College in November, defeating them 90-82.
