As Financial Aid funding becomes available, it is first applied to the student's RCTC bill to pay tuition, fees, textbooks charged at the RCTC bookstore and other miscellaneous charges on the student's account. Any funding not used to satisfy the student's RCTC bill will then be sent to our disbursing agency, HigherOne, on January 23, 2015. Most students should expect to see their overage amounts on Monday, January 26th. Funding may be available sooner based on the student's disbursement preference. Click here for more information.
In some cases, RCTC is required to DELAY disbursement of loan funding for 30 days and/or release your funds in two payments. To find out if you are subject to this rule, please refer to the Disclosure Statement sent to you by the U.S. Department of Education. This statement will list the date RCTC can request your loan funds. If you have questions about your loans and how they will be disbursed contact the Financial Aid Office.
Complete your 2014-15 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) now. Visit www.fafsa.gov. Students returning for the 2015-16 academic year should also complete the 2015-16 FAFSA form as soon as 2014 taxes have been filed.
To receive any Financial Aid overage funds owed to you, use the Yellowjacket card sent to you by mail to designate how you want your funds released (direct deposit or paper check). If you haven't made your selection, your funding will be delayed until you do so!
