Wine and Food Around the Globe


About the Event

The RCTC Foundation and RCTC LIFE Program sponsored a special WINE AND FOOD tasting experience that featured wines from around the globe that were paired with food from each wine’s region. The event was held at Johnny Mango’s Cabernet in a relaxed, elegant setting where participants expanded their wine palette and tasted fabulous food in a fun and musically enhanced atmosphere.

Listed below are the WINES AND FOOD that were experienced:

  • GREEK
    • Casa di Rocca Moscato
    • Torre di Luna Pinot Grigio
    • Torre di Luna Sauv. Blanc
    • Mini Gyro Bites
    • Bistro platter with all the crazy fixens served with a dip and pita chips
    • Greek Salad Kabobs, feta, olives, tomato, onion, pepper, cucumber with red wine vinaigrette
  • MEXICAN
    • Protocolo Tempranillo
    • Penascal Tempranillo
    • Penascal Rose
    • Mini shrimp tostadas with Pico di gallon and pepper jack cheese on a half corn tortilla with spicy shrimp
    • Steak Empanada with chimichurri sauce
    • Chipotle poppers with spicy sour cream sauce
  • ASIAN
    • Greystone Cabernet
    • Greystone Chardonnay
    • Charles Smith Velvet Devil Merlot
    • Charles Smith Kung Fu Girl Riesling
    • Mini black sesame crusted rice balls with pineapple Asian glaze
    • Pot stickers with ponzu sauce
    • Filet mignon satay with teriyaki sauce
    • Egg rolls with chili sauce
  • DESSERT
    • Metcalfes Vermont Maple Cream
    • TY-KU Citrus with 7-UP
    • Chocolate dipped strawberries and pineapple on skewers
    • Tripple berry and apple mini tarts

Proceeds benefited the RCTC Life Program and RCTC Foundation to continue providing accessible education through scholarships and program support for those who might not otherwise have the resources to pursue higher education.
