The Rochester Community and Technical College Foundation is a separate and independent organization from RCTC, holding tax-exempt nonprofit status. Our mission is to improve lives with support of quality, affordable and accessible higher education.
The sole purpose of the Foundation is to support RCTC with student scholarships and target resources to enhance and promote quality programs for the school and community. The RCTC Foundation is the vehicle through which private gifts, bequests, and donations of property are channeled. Each year, the RCTC Foundation provides an annual report to the community -- a year-end summary of donor generosity, significant events, and academic excellence. It is our chance to explain the meaning behind the work we do every day and the difference being made to our students and in the community.
When viewed as a full circle - the funds raised through donor support are taken in by the Foundation and gifted to the College in support of their students and programs. In turn, this investment will produce quality employees for our local businesses to hire. The graduates will then remain here in our community to raise the next generation of community college graduates.
In the last academic year, the Foundation awarded scholarships totaling over $240,000 to more than 220 students. The annual report is a snapshot of a year in the RCTC Foundation.
