40 & 8 Cabane Scholarship

Awarded to a student in Medical Assistant program or 2-year medical field program.
40 & 8 Voiture 327 Scholarship

Awarded to students enrolled in the RCTC Associate Degree Nursing Program who have completed Nursing 1117. Recipients must be residents of Olmsted County or other southeastern Minnesota counties without a 40 & 8 Voiture organization.
716 Scholarship

Awarded to returning students with a minimum 3.5 GPA who are majoring in business or journalism.
Aase, Gatti, Munsch Scholarship

Awarded to a returning sophomore with GPA between 3.0 and 3.5. Must be a full-time student (12 credits or more) and have financial need.
ABC 6 News Scholarship

The recipient of the ABC 6 News Scholarship will be an incoming or returning student who is a graduate of the Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge Program. The applicant must submit a letter of reference from the organization confirming graduation from the program.
Affiliated Emergency Veterinary Service Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student pursuing an Associate in Applied Science Degree from the RCTC Veterinary Technician program. Student must be enrolled full-time with at least 12 credit hours per semester.
Alice & Harry Tashjian Scholarship

Awarded to a female student who postponed attending higher education after high school and has faced challenges in maintaining a traditional education path due to war and family poverty issues. **FULL PAGE ESSAY: "CHALLENGES YOU FACED IN MAINTAINING A TRADITIONAL EDUCATION PATH DUE TO WAR AND/OR FAMILY POVERTY" TO BE INCLUDED WITH APPLICATION.**
American Business Women's Association Rochester Charter Chapter Scholarship

Awarded to a female student entering the second year of study at RCTC, majoring in the area of business and demonstrating academic achievement with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The student must be a U.S. Citizen and be from Olmsted, Wabasha, Goodhue, Dodge, Mower, Fillmore, Houston or Winona County.
American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student in the CAD, BUM Program or Mechanical Engineering program with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Recipient will be encouraged to attend monthly ASHRAE meetings at no expense to the student. Preference will be given to students from high schools within 50 miles of Rochester, students participating in engineering chapters and have financial need. **ESSAY ON "YOUR INTEREST IN THE BUILDING INDUSTRY (HVAC)" TO BE INCLUDED WITH APPLICATION.**
Anthony Saponari Scholarship

The recipient of the Anthony Saponari Scholarship will be a returning student with a minimum 2.5 GPA and participates in RCTC athletics or other RCTC activities.
Art + Design Department Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to a returning, transferring, or graduating student who is enrolled in an Art+Design Program at RCTC and who will be continuing studies in an art-related field at a four-year institution. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and must have completed the majority of their credits at RCTC. Art + Design students must upload five examples of their artwork with a brief statement about each piece. Art History students must upload a five-page research paper instead of artwork. The scholarship may be used toward tuition expenses, college fees, book and/or software purchases, or art supplies.
ASHRAE Rochester Section Pre-Engineering Scholarship

Awarded to an incoming or returning student in Pre-Engineering programs (i.e. Engineering, Construction, Information Technology, Biomedical) with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference is given to a C-TECH student in the Engineering pathway.
Bateman Family Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student who has demonstrated interest in the Social Sciences and intends to pursue a bachelor's degree in Social Science at a four year college or university. The student must possess a minimum 3.5 GPA and be enrolled full time. A student may be eligible a second year based on same criteria. A new application must be submitted to be considered for a second year.
Brian Shandley Friends and Family Scholarship

Awarded to a student pursuing a Building Utilities Mechanic (BUM) degree who has financial need. The student must possess a minimum 2.5 GPA and submit an essay stating reasons for seeking a career as a building utilities mechanic.
Builders Exchange of Rochester BUM Scholarship

Awarded to an incoming or returning student pursuing a Building Utilities Mechanic (BUM) degree/diploma at RCTC. 
Calvary Episcopal Church and Community Service Scholarship

The recipient of the Calvary Episcopal Church-Community Service Scholarship will be an incoming or returning student from any field of study who is completing his/her two years of studies at RCTC. The student should possess a minimum 3.0 GPA and exhibit financial need. The recipient will have demonstrated a commitment to community service projects with strong preference given to first or second generation family members.
Carla Beighley Memorial BUM Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student majoring in the Building Utilities Mechanic Program with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Applicant's class attendance will be verified with the Program Leader before the scholarship is awarded. Financial Aid Office will verify receipt of a FAFSA form.
Charles and Marietta (Sonnenberg) Sandberg Scholarship

Awarded to a student majoring in business or journalism. Preference is given to a student with financial need.
Charles Hill Music Scholarship

The scholarship provides tuition assistance to a second year student who has a minimum 2.0 GPA with no warnings or suspensions and who is involved in Music activities at RCTC.
Charles Hill Theatre Scholarship

The scholarship provides tuition assistance to a second year student who has a minimum 2.0 GPA with no warnings or suspension and who is involved in Theater activities at RCTC.
Christopher Lee Struckmann Memorial Horticulture Scholarship

The recipient will be a returning student enrolled in a Horticulture Technology Careers program at RCTC. The student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preferences will be given to full-time students who exhibit a strong commitment to the horticulture industry through employment and/or activities.
Commercial Builders Council, a Division of Rochester Area Builders BUM Scholarship

Awarded to an incoming or returning student pursuing a Building Utilities Mechanic (BUM) degree/diploma at RCTC. 
Coty/Vakos Scholarship

Awarded to a full-time student (12+ credits) majoring in business and/or marketing. Student must be non-traditional (age 25 or over), working full or part-time while attending college, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Dalsbo Family Scholarship

Awarded to students pursuing a medical related career who have financial need with a minimum 2.5 GPA or who graduated from high school at least four years ago. Preference will be given to Rochester and surrounding area residents who are currently employed.
Dan Chick Memorial BUM Club Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student in the BUM Program who has a minimum 2.0 GPA with no warnings or suspensions, who has financial need and has participated in BUM Club activities.
Darlene Rucker Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to students pursuing a nursing degree, have financial need, and a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to Rochester and surrounding area residents who are currently employed.
David and Sue Dripps Scholarship

Awarded to a student successfully majoring in graphic arts. Preference is given to a student with financial need.
Don and Stephanie Supalla Scholarship

This scholarship will be awarded to an incoming or returning student pursuing a diploma or Associates Degree program. The student should have participated in documented measurable community service or volunteer activity. Students must have documented financial need based on information provided to the RCTC Financial Aid Office. A minimum 2.5 GPA is required for returning students. ESSAY REQUIRED on community service or volunteer activity.
Dr. Harold and Loraine T. Perry Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student pursuing a degree in the field of medicine or health careers, who can demonstrate financial need and has a minimum 2.0 GPA with no warnings or suspensions.
Dr. Young Juhn Art + Design Art History Scholarship

Awarded to a student who has taken an Art History course at RCTC during the current academic year (fall and/or spring semester) regardless of program major. Qualifications: Students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA. ESSAY REQUIRED (300 WORDS OR LESS) ABOUT: WHY THE STUDY OF ART HISTORY IS IMPORTANT.
Dr. Young Juhn Art + Design Photography Scholarship

Awarded to a returning, graduating, or transfer student who is enrolled in an Art+Design Program at RCTC and who may be continuing studies in an art-related field at a four-year institution. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and must have completed the majority of their credits at RCTC. Students must submit at 5 or more photography samples with application.
Drifters Car Club Scholarship

Awarded to a second year student pursuing a diploma in Automobile Mechanic with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Students who are friends or relatives of Drifters Car Club members are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to one male and one female student. Recipients will receive one complimentary annual membership in the Drifters Car Club.
Edland, Edland and Olson Scholarship

Student should be pursuing a four-year degree, reside in southeast Minnesota, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be involved in extra curricular activities.
Equine Science Returning Student Scholarship

Must be a returning student who plans to graduate with an Equine Science diploma (Riding and Training) or AS Degree (Equine Science. Student can be enrolled full-time or part-time. ESSAY REQUIRED: How have you been involved in the horse industry in the last two years (i.e. jobs, volunteering, competing, learning, etc.)?
Eric Schwanke Outdoorsman Memorial Scholarship

The recipient will be a returning or graduating student pursuing a law enforcement, criminal justice, intensive care paramedic, or environmental studies degree with a career goal in law enforcement, criminal justice, the department of natural resources, paramedic, emergency medical technician, firefighter or related career. The student should possess a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to students who have a demonstrated passion in the outdoors, wildlife, and/or habitat conservation through volunteerism, organizations, or hobbies such as hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities. **ESSAY REQUIRED DETAILING CAREER GOALS AND THESE LIFE INTERESTS**
Francis and Mary Ruth Baldus Scholarship

Recipient will be an incoming or returning student who is undocumented, has attended a Minnesota high school for at least three (3) years, and graduated from a Minnesota high school or earned a GED in Minnesota. Males ages 18-25 must be registered with the U.S. Selective Service to receive the scholarship.
Franklin H. Sim Scholarship

Any incoming or returning student enrolled in the allied health medical field (i.e. sports medicine, physical therapy, athletic training, nursing) who has a minimum 3.5 GPA and participates in RCTC Athletics or Student Life as a player or as a volunteer.
George Gibbs Memorial Scholarship

Student have a minimum 2.0 GPA. **ESSAY REQUIRED: "Freedom"
Greg Sellnow Memorial Journalism Scholarship

Students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and intend to pursue a four year degree in print/online journalism, not broadcasting. **ESSAY (300 WORD MINIMUM): "Why I am pursuing a degree in Journalism". Applicant must also submit previous examples from term papers or stories written for and published by a school newspaper or the RCTC ECHO. Preference will be given to full-time students, but part-time students are encouraged to apply. Community engagement, financial need, community service work, and school clubs are looked at in the review.
Hill Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student majoring in business or elementary education.
Hoffman Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student who plans to attend a four-year college or university following completion of coursework at RCTC. Student should be pursuing a major in one of the 'hard sciences', such as math, science, or engineering. Student must qualify for financial aid and possess a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Hoffman Technical Scholarship

Awarded to a second year student who is pursuing a two-year degree majoring in a technical or trade field. Student must qualify for financial aid and possess a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Holmquist, Nolte, Reed Scholarship

Awarded to an incoming or returning student from Stewartville High School area majoring in education with plans to coach athletics.
Iris Fried Student Support Services Scholarship

Awarded to an active participant in the Student Support Services/TRiO Program, who has a completed fall and spring ISP on file, enrolled in and attended at least 9 credits the previous Fall semester, and has a minimum 2.5 GPA. **ESSAY REQUIRED (500 WORD MINIMUM): "How Student Support Services has impacted your future life plans"
Izaak Walton League, Rochester Chapter, Scholarship

Awarded to a student with a declared field of study related to conservation or a strong preference for a conservation field. Preference is given to students who attended high school in a southern Minnesota county, and shows financial need. **ESSAY ON "College and career objectives and how the mission of the Izaak Walton League fits with your goals".
Jane Toft Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a female student entering her second year who displays academic excellence in the field of science.
John and Rita Hunt Scholarship

Awarded to a second year student with a minimum 2.0 GPA and no warnings or suspensions who is pursuing any major and demonstrates financial need. Students must attach an essay (250 words or less) explaining the circumstances of their financial need with their application.
John and Sandra MacLaughlin MN Dream Scholarship

The recipient must be an undocumented citizen is planning to or is currently attending RCTC. The GPA requirement is 2.5 minimum. The funds are to pay for tuition, books, and college fees. The recipient does not have to maintain full-time status.
John and Sandra MacLaughlin Practical Nursing Scholarship

Awarded to a student who is enrolled in Licensed Practical Nursing prerequisite classes or in the RCTC Licensed Practical Nursing program. Preference will be given to a student who (1) attends or has graduated from Hawthorne Education Center; or (2) is a former Head Start student; or (3) is a current or former Head Start parent. If the selected recipient does not continue into a second semester, another applicant meeting the criteria will be selected. The recipient can be a full-time or part-time student
John, Adolph, and Pauline Peterson Horticulture Scholarship

Awarded to incoming or returning students with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Preference will be given to students coming from families who have worked in horticulture, agriculture, or related fields who are pursuing an A.A.S. degree, planning a career in greenhouse management or a horticulture specialty. Recipient must commit to providing 10 hours of volunteer service each semester to a worthy organization such as Chester Woods Park, Seasons Hospice, the Salvation Army, or American/MN Chapter Red Cross, doing fall clean-up, spring planting, etc.
Kenneth McGhie Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student majoring in Engineering Technology or Engineering.
Kerry Nolte Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to an incoming or returning student in any field of study who is dealing with mental illness or has a family member who is dealing with mental illness. ESSAY REQUIRED: Describe your experience with mental illness using personal insights to battling the disorder for yourself or in your family environment.
Kiwanis of Rochester Les Fiegel/Charles Hill Scholarship

Awarded to an incoming or returning student in any field of study who demonstrates financial need and has a minimum 2.5 GPA. The award may be renewable at the discretion of the RCTC Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee, provided the recipient still meets the criteria.
Kreutzman-McGannon Scholarship

Awarded to a returning sophomore or graduating student transferring to a four-year college studying in the field of science, computers or mathematics. Student must be active in school activities and/or community involvement and possess a minimum 3.2 GPA **100-WORD ESSAY: Describe your goals after graduation.
Lavine Family Scholarship

Awarded to a student majoring in Liberal Arts who participated in activities while at RCTC and plans to pursue a four-year degree. Recipient must have graduated from high school no more than four years prior and have a minimum 3.3 GPA.
Lent Family Scholarship

Awarded to an incoming or returning student pursuing an A.S. Nursing Degree or a Law Enforcement Degree and have financial need with a minimum 2.5 GPA. The award will alternate between Nursing (odd years) and Law Enforcement (even years). Preference will be given to Rochester area residents who are currently employed. The award must be used towards college tuition, books, and fees.
Lyman and Jean Green Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to non-traditional student (age 25 or older) who is working and/or raising a family while attending RCTC. Any area of study or major is eligible.
Marge Allen Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a second year student who is an Olmsted County resident with financial need. Preference is given to students dependent on public assistance and whose educational goals will help them eliminate this need.
Mike Klampe Memorial Scholarship

The applicant will demonstrate character and leadership, promote outreach, learn about other cultures, understand ethnic differences and celebrate diversity among all people.**ESSAY: "Celebrating Diversity" to be included with application.
Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship

Awarded to a student enrolling in Engineering Technology or Pre-Engineering.
MVMF Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student who is currently in the second year of the Veterinary Technician Program with a minimum 3.5 GPA. An essay on what it means to be a veterinary technician and future goals in the field of veterinary technology is required.
Myrtle R. Fleischer Scholarship

The recipient will be a returning student who is pursuing an Associate Degree in Nursing at RCTC. The student should possess a minimum 2.5 GPA and exhibit financial need.
National Association of Women in Construction Scholarship

Awarded to a second year female student majoring in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, engineering technology, Building Utilities Mechanic, carpentry, or machine tool trade.
National Association of Women in Construction Scholarship

Awarded to a female student enrolled in a one or two semester trade program such as a welding certificate or carpentry diploma (1:$250)
Neil Anderson Scholarship

Awarded to any RCTC student who is planning to pursue a four-year degree. The recipient must have a minimum 3.0 GPA from high school or at RCTC and demonstrate financial need and academic merit. Any field of study is eligible. The award is renewable at the discretion of the RCTC Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee. The student must be full-time (in an academic program)with a minimum of 6 credits that will transition to a specific Bachelor's Degree or must meet the average credits taken by students attending RCTC.
Neva and Rachel Kuehn Scholarship

The recipient will be a deserving student with financial need enrolled in the RCTC Nursing program. Preference is given to LPN students.
Nick Angel Scholarship

Awarded to incoming or returning students in any field of study who demonstrate financial need.
Olmsted Medical Center Scholarship

Awarded to a student with a minimum 2.0 GPA with warnings or suspension, studying in a medical related program at RCTC.
Otto Haling Scholarship

Applicants must be enrolled in the Auto Mechanics or Welding. Award based on financial need, GPA, and participation in community or school activities.
People's Energy Cooperative Scholarship

Awarded to an incoming or returning student who is a customer of Peoples Cooperative Services or their family is a customer. Preference is given to a student majoring in agriculture or related field and planning to continue at a four-year college or university.
Presidential Scholarship Second Year

Presidential 2nd Year Scholarships are awarded to Presidential Scholars who maintained a 3.3 GPA while attending RCTC during their first year. The scholarship recipient will be guaranteed a waiver for all tuition and fees for fall and spring semesters, free use of required textbooks and early registration privileges.
RCTC Foundation Scholarship

The recipient must have participated in documented (verifiable) measurable community service activities or participated in volunteer activities at their high school or at RCTC and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
RCTC Nursing Department Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded toe a student pursuing a Practical Nursing Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing. The student should possess a 2.5 GPA and be currently enrolled in the respective program. A verification reference contact is required with the application. The student should be enrolled full-time with pro-ration of the scholarship for part-time students.
Reif Female Academic Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded to a female student who has a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrates financial need, and has been involved in community-related activities and volunteer experiences. Preference is given to a student who has also participated in athletics at the high school and/or college level in the past. Letter of reference from a teacher/instructor/coach is required. ESSAY REQUIRED on community-related activities and volunteer experiences.
Renee and Bill Brunner Scholarship

Awarded to an incoming or returning student, from southeastern Minnesota who was involved in high school activities such as athletics, student clubs, band, choir, and/or theater. Recipient must carry a minimum of 12 credits and major in business or a computer-related field.
Rick Stelling Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a student from southeastern Minnesota who has a strong interest in the field of music and has participated/performed as a member of the RCTC music program.
Rochester Commercial Banks Scholarship

Recipient must be a returning full-time RCTC Student. Recipient must be a prior resident of the City of Rochester or one of the surrounding communities. Recipient must be pursuing an Associate Degree (2 year program) or a Bachelors Degree which would result in a career in the banking industry. Student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Rochester Garden & Flower Club Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a student in the horticulture curriculum with a minimum 2.0 GPA and no warnings or suspension.
Rochester International Association/Phyllis Layton Scholarship

Awarded to international or refugee students entering their second year of studies at RCTC.
Rochester Masonic Lodge Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student with preference given to a non-traditional student (age 25 or over) in Nursing or Associate in Science Degree program.
Roger Ready Memorial Scholarship

The student that will be awarded this scholarship must have previously worked in the Health Care System and be able to display financial need.
Ruth and Frank Heck Scholarship

A student pursuing studies to become a licensed practical nurse will receive this award.
Shades of Green Hosta Society of Southeast MN Scholarship

To be awarded to a returning student committed to the Horticulture program with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The student is required to attend a Shades of Green Hosta (SOGH) Society meeting.
Society of Manufacturing Engineers Canfield Scholarship (CAD)

Awarded to a student who intends to pursue a diploma or degree in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD). The recipient will be an incoming or returning RCTC student with a minimum 2.0 G.P.A. Preference will be given to a student who has completed the C-TECH manufacturing pathway and plans to attend RCTC. The scholarship can be used for tuition, books and fees. An essay describing the student's career plans after graduation must be attached to the application.
Society of Manufacturing Engineers Canfield Scholarship (PMT)

Awarded to a student who intends to pursue a diploma in Precision Manufacturing Technology (PMT). The recipient will be an incoming or returning RCTC student with a minimum 2.0 G.P.A. Preference will be given to a student who has completed the C-TECH manufacturing pathway and plans to attend RCTC. The scholarship can be used for tuition, books and fees. An essay describing the student's career plans after graduation must be attached to the application.
St. Marys Auxiliary Scholarship

Awarded to students enrolled in Associate Degree Nursing program who have completed Nursing 1117.

Steve Bakke Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to an incoming or returning student attending RCTC who is pursuing a career in computer science and/or engineering. The student must be a graduate of a Minnesota high school with a demonstrated mathematical academic background or interest, demonstrated financial need and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Stewart, Webster, Hummer Scholarship

Awarded to a full-time student who completed their freshman year with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Student must be majoring in business, accounting, computer science, a health field, or science.
Surgical Technology Scholarship Fund

Awarded to a student currently enrolled in the second year of the surgical technology program who has financial need with a minimum 2.5 GPA and who is from Rochester or one of the surrounding communities. The funds are to be used for the hospital fee, tuition, or books.
Susan Dobbe Memorial Scholarship

The award goes to a second year RCTC student majoring in Music Technology who has demonstrated commitment to the program.
Suzanne Kavanaugh Dinusson Women in Business Scholarship

Awarded to a female returning student who is majoring in the field of Business Management or Business Administration. The applicant must demonstrate documented in-depth volunteer community related activities. The applicant must be committed to the volunteer experience and is on track and intends to complete a Bachelors Degree in Business Management or Business Administration.
T. Emil and Dorothy Gauthier Scholarship

The recipient will have a minimum 3.0 GPA and pursue a manufacturing technical degree program ( i.e. CAD, mechanical drafting, B.U.M.) at RCTC. The recipient should be a second year/returning student and can be enrolled full or part-time.
Vern Bushlack Horticulture Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student enrolled in a Horticulture Technology Careers program at RCTC. Students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to full-time students who exhibit a strong commitment to the horticulture industry through their employment and/or activities.
Vicki, Kent, Todd Brunner Scholarship

Awarded to a student, incoming or returning, from southeastern Minnesota who was involved in high school activities such as athletics, band, choir, and theatre. Recipient must carry a minimum 12 credits and major in business, computer science, allied health, nursing, or pre-medicine.
Virginia Brunner Taylor Scholarship

Recipients must be full-time (12 credits or more) students who were born and raised in southeastern Minnesota. Preference will be given to students studying business programs.
Walter Swenberg Memorial Scholarship

Eligible students will be enrolled in the Pre-Mechanical Engineering or the Engineering Technology program. Students must qualify for financial aid. If the recipient's complete their first year of study and maintain above average academic standing, they will be eligible for a second year of funding: a new application must be submitted to be reconsidered.
Wells Fargo Scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded to a Rochester student who is pursuing an education in the field of business.
Willard and Lorraine Johnson Fund for Excellence in Fine Arts Education Scholarship

Awarded to an incoming or returning student pursuing a career in the Fine Arts with a minimum 2.0 GPA. Student may be full or part-time.
Woodwind Scholarship

The recipient will be an incoming or returning student currently taking private (applied) lessons in music. Preference will be given to a student who wants to pursue a lifelong experience in music but any applied (major) student is eligible provided they have a 2.5 GPA. Students may be full or part-time status.
Yvonne Romero Art History Scholarship

Awarded to a student who is currently enrolled or has completed an Art History class at RCTC with a minimum 2.0 GPA who is from a disadvantaged background and has financial need.
