"E.Z." Earl Atkinson Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a student entering the second year of study at RCTC, majoring in the area of business, attending full-time and demonstrating academic achievement with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
40 & 8 Cabane Scholarship

Awarded to a student in Medical Assistant program or 2-year medical field program.
40 & 8 Voiture 327 Scholarship

Awarded to students enrolled in the RCTC Associate Degree Nursing Program who have completed Nursing 1117. Recipients must be residents of Olmsted County or other SE MN counties without a 40 & 8 Voiture organization, recipient can only receive once. 2.75 GPA is required.
716 Scholarship

Awarded to Returning or PSEO Incoming students with high academic standing who are majoring in Business (can be medical business related) or Journalism.
ABC 6 News Scholarship

The recipient of the ABC 6 News Scholarship will be a returning student pursuing a major in Mass Communications, who is currently enrolled in or has completed 6 credits in Mass Communications. The applicant will be required to create and submit a news package to the RCTC Foundation on a current topic of a local news nature. The news package must include audio and visual components , and be submitted on a video DVD or Blu-ray. The news package must be 2-5 minutes in length.
Alice Tashjian Scholarship

Awarded to a female student who might have had to postpone higher education after high school and has faced challenges in maintaining a traditional education path due to war and family poverty issues. Two letters of recommendation are required. A full-page essay is required.
American Business Women's Association Rochester Charter Chapter Scholarship

It shall be awarded to a female student entering the second year of study at RCTC, majoring in the area of business and demonstrating academic achievement with a 3.0 GPA or higher. The Student must be a U.S. Citizen and be from Olmsted, Wabasha, Goodhue, Dodge, Mower, Fillmore, Houston or Winona County.
American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student in the RCTC BUM Program (not maintenance engineering) with a 2.5 GPA and living within a 50 mile radius of RCTC. Essay Required: Explain and elaborate on interest in the building industry (HVAC). Financial need will be a consideration. Recipient will be encouraged to attend monthly ASHRAE meetings at no expense to the student.
Anthony Saponari Scholarship

The recipient of the Anthony Saponari Scholarship will be a returning student with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and participates in RCTC athletics or other RCTC activities.
Apollo Dental Center Dental Scholarship

Awarded to an outstanding Dental Assistant student who embodies a professional attitude and represents excellence in the field.
Art + Design Department Scholarship

This scholarship will be rewarded to a returning, transferring, or graduating student who is enrolled in an Art+Design Program at RCTC and who will be continuing studies in an art-related field at a four-year institution. Qualifications: Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and must have completed the majority of their credits at RCTC. Application Process: All applicants must submit a digital portfolio on a clearly labeled CD (please write your name and "Art+Design Scholarship Application" in permanent "sharpie" marker on CD). The CD should contain five pages of the student's artwork in PDF format. In addition, please submit a brief (two-page maximum) typed statement about your artwork and educational or career plans once leaving RCTC. Art History Candidates: If you are an applicant from the area of Art History, you should submit a five-page research paper instead of the digital portfolio. Award Selection: Award recipients will be selected from the pool of all eligible candidates. The Art+Design Scholarship may be used toward tuition expenses, college fees, book and/or software purchase, or art supplies.
Bateman Family Scholarship

Awarded to a qualified returning student who has demonstrated interest in the Social Sciences and intends to pursue a bachelor's degree in Social Science at a four year college or university. The student should possess a 3.5 GPA and be enrolled full time. Preference will be given to non-traditional students. Student may be eligible a second year based on same criteria. A separate application is required to be submitted as a Renewing Bateman Scholarship.
Calvary Episcopal Church and Community Service Scholarship

The recipient of the Calvary Episcopal Church-Community Service Scholarship will be an incoming or returning student from any field of study who is completing his/her two years of studies at RCTC. The student should possess a 3.0 GPA. and exhibit financial need. The recipient will have demonstrated a commitment to community service projects with preference given to first or second generation family members.
Charles and Marietta (Sonnenberg) Sandberg Scholarship

Awarded to a student majoring in business or journalism. Preference to a student with financial need.
Charles Hill Theatre Scholarship

The scholarship provides tuition assistance to a second year student in good academic standing who is involved in theatre activities at RCTC.
Christopher Lee Struckmann Memorial Horticulture Scholarship

The recipient of the Christopher Lee Struckmann Memorial Horticulture Scholarship will be a returning student enrolled in a Horticulture Technology Careers program at RCTC. The student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preferences will be given to full-time students who exhibit a strong commitment to the horticulture industry through their employment and or activities.
Coty/Vakos Scholarship

Awarded to a full-time student majoring in business and/or marketing. Student must be considered non-traditional, working full or part-time while attending college, 3.0 or better GPA.
Dan Chick Memorial Scholarship

A returning student in good academic standing who has financial need and has participated in BUM Club activities, community involvement and the funding of his/her own education through work activities.
David and Sue Dripps Scholarship

Awarded to a student successfully majoring in graphic arts. Preference to student with financial need.
Dental Hygiene Scholarship

The recipient of the Dental Hygiene Scholarship will be a returning Dental Hygiene student that has successfully completed Fall Semester dental hygiene courses DH1510, DH1511, and DH1512 with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA in those courses. Student should demonstrate financial need, be a member of the Student American Dental Hygienists
Don and Stephanie Supalla Scholarship Fund

This scholarship will be awarded to an incoming or returning student pursuing a diploma or Associates Degree program. The student should have participated in documented measurable community service or volunteer activity. Students must have documented financial need based on information provided to the RCTC Financial Aid Office. A GPA of 2.5 is required for returning students.
Dr. Harold and Loraine T. Perry Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student pursuing a degree in the field of medicine or health careers, who can demonstrate financial need and is in good academic standing at RCTC.
Edland, Edland and Olson Scholarship

Student should be pursuing a four-year degree, reside in southeast Minnesota, 3.0 GPA required, and be involved in extra curricular activities.
Eric Schwanke Outdoorsman Memorial Scholarship

The recipient of the Eric Schwanke Outdoorsman Memorial Scholarship will be a returning or graduating student pursuing a law enforcement, criminal justice, intensive care paramedic, or environmental studies degree with a career goal in law enforcement, criminal justice, the department of natural resources, paramedic, emergency medical technician, firefighter or related career. The student should possess a 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to students who have a demonstrated passion in the outdoors, wildlife, and/or habitat conservation through volunteerism, organizations, or hobbies such as hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities. A brief essay is required detailing career goals and these life interests.
Franklin H. Sim Scholarship

Any student incoming or returning enrolled in the allied health medical field (i.e. sports medicine, physical therapy, athletic training, nursing) who has demonstrated a combination of academic prowess (3.5 GPA) as well as participation in RCTC Athletics or Student Life as a player or as a volunteer.
George Gibbs Memorial Scholarship

Student should be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.0 GPA. **ESSAY ON FREEDOM TO BE INCLUDED WITH APPLICATION FORM.**
Gould Family Scholarship

Eligible applicants will be custodial single parents, pursuing any major, but with preference to accounting students.
Hafar Family Music Scholarship

The recipients of the Hafar Family Music Scholarship will be incoming or returning students who will be taking private (applied) music lessons in the fall. Preference will be given to brass students who intend a career in music but any applied (major) student is eligible provided they have a 2.5 GPA. Students may be full or part-time status.
Hill Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student majoring in business or elementary education.
Hoffman Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student who plans to attend a four-year college or university following completion of coursework at RCTC. Student should be pursuing a major in one of the 'hard sciences', such as math, science, and engineering. Student must qualify for financial aid and possess a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Hoffman Technical Scholarship

Awarded to a second year student who is pursuing a two-year degree majoring in a technical (Medical/Dental/Law is accepted) or trade field. Student should possess passing grades and qualify for financial assistance from RCTC.
Holmquist, Nolte, Reed Scholarship

Awarded to an incoming or returning student from Stewartville school area majoring in education with plans to coach athletics.
Iris Fried Student Support Services Scholarship

Awarded to an active participant in the Student Support Services/TRiO Program, who has a current ISP on file, who will enroll in and attend at least 9 credits for the subsequent Fall semester, remain an active member of the SSS Program and has a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. A mandatory essay (500 word min.) is required. "Explain how Student Support Services has impacted your future life plans."
Izaak Walton League, Rochester Chapter, Scholarship

Awarded to a student with a declared field of study related to conservation or a strong preference for a conservation field. Preference will be given to students who attended high school in Olmsted County, followed by students from SE Minnesota counties, and financial need. May be awarded subsequent years to the same recipient. ESSAY: College and Career objectives, and how the mission of the Izaak Walton League fits with your goals.
Jane Toft Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a female student entering her second year who displays academic skill in the field of science.
John and Rita Hunt Scholarship

Awarded to a second year student pursuing any major, demonstrating financial need, and in good academic standing with RCTC.
John and Sandra MacLaughlin Practical Nursing Scholarship

The recipient of the John and Sandra Practical Nursing Scholarship will be a student pursing a Practical Nursing diploma who is a single parent with financial need. The student should possess/maintain a 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to current or former Head Start parents. If the selected recipient does not continue into Semester II another applicant meeting the criteria will be selected.
John, Adolph, and Pauline Peterson Horticulture Scholarship

Awarded to Incoming or Returning Students with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Preference will be given to students coming from families who have worked in horticulture, agriculture, or related fields who are pursuing an A.A. S. degree planning a career in greenhouse management or a horticulture specialty. Recipient must commit to providing 10 hours of volunteer service each semester to a worthy organization such as Chester Woods Park, Seasons Hospice, the Salvation Army, or American/MN Chapter Red Cross doing fall clean-up spring planting, etc.
Kathy Richardson Scholarship Fund

The recipient of this scholarship must be one of the following: 1)An RCTC Upward Bound Program graduate or alumni. 2)An RCTC or WSU Rochester student who was a tutor for the RCTC Upward Bound Program for at least one full semester.
Kenneth McGhie Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student majoring in Engineering Technology or Engineering.
Kreutzman-McGannon Scholarship

Awarded to a returning sophomore or graduating student transferring to a four-year college studying in the field of science, computers or mathematics. Student must be active in school activities and/or community involvement and possess a minimum 3.2 GPA **100-WORD ESSAY ON 'GOALS AFTER GRADUATION' IS REQUIRED WITH APPLICATION**
Lavine Family Scholarship

Awarded to a returning sophomore student enrolled full-time in the Liberal Arts program. Recipient must carry a 3.3 or better GPA, must be a high school graduate within the last four years and must have participated in school activities at RCTC.
Lyman and Jean Green Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to non-traditional student who is working and/or rearing a family while attending RCTC. Any area of study or major is eligible.
Marge Allen Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a second year student who is an Olmsted County resident with financial need. Preference to students dependent on public assistance and whose educational goals will help them eliminate this need.
Matt Smith Scholarship

Award available for a physically disabled student who has the ability, drive, and desire to attend college but has physical challenges to surmount.
Mike Klampe Memorial Scholarship

Student will demonstrate character and leadership, promoting outreach, learn about other cultures, understand ethnic differences and celebrate diversity among all people. ESSAY REQUIRED: Celebrating Diversity
Minnesota Association of Orthodontists

Awarded directly from donor to a student in the latter stages of their curriculum, with high scholastic standing, expressing interest in participating in orthodontics, etc. They send letter to Bonnie Crawford.
Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers Scholarship

Awarded to a student enrolling in Engineering Technology or Pre-Engineering.
MVMF Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student in good standing who is currently in the second half of the Veterinary Technician Program with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. An essay on what it means to be a veterinary technician and future goals in the field of veterinary technology is required.
Myrtle R. Fleischer Scholarship

The recipient of the Myrtle R. Fleischer Scholarship will be a returning student who is pursuing an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) at RCTC. The student should possess a 3.5 GPA and exhibit financial need.
National Association of Women in Construction Scholarship

Awarded to a second year female student majoring in transfer or technology civil engineering, mechanical engineering or Building Utilities Maintenance, carpentry, or machine tool trade.
Neil Anderson Scholarship

Awarded to a student entering their second year at RCTC planning to pursue a four-year degree. The recipient must have a minimum 3.0 GPA after the first year at RCTC and have financial need. Any field of study is eligible.
Neva and Rachel Kuehn Scholarship

The recipient of the Neva and Rachel Kuehn Scholarship will be a deserving student with financial need enrolled in a RCTC Nursing program preference given to LPN students.
Oehlke Family Foundation of the St. Paul Nursing Foundation

Awarded to Incoming or Returning students enrolled in the RCTC Associate Degree Nursing program who have a 3.5 or higher GPA and have financial need.
Olmsted Medical Center Scholarship

Any student in good academic standing, studying in a medical related program at RCTC is eligible.
Otto Haling Scholarship

Applicants must have completed one semester of the Auto Mechanics Program. Award based on financial need, GPA and participation in community or school activities.
Paul Labinski Scholarship

Recipient will be a returning student majoring in math or economics with a demonstrated involvement in volunteer activities. Student should have financial need and be in good academic standing with RCTC.
People's Cooperative Services Scholarship

Awarded to an incoming or returning student who, individually or whose family, is a customer of Peoples Cooperative Services. Preference given to student majoring in agriculture or related field and planning to continue at a four-year college or university.
Presidential Second Year

Presidential Scholarships are awarded to Minnesota residents with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.9 and/or class rank in the top five percent (5%) of their graduating class. Preference is given to students demonstrating leadership and community involvement. Work-study faculty mentorships are required for second semester and during the second year. Achieving a 3.3 GPA while attending RCTC is required for continued funding. Application Deadline: Presidential scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first serve basis. Please submit your application as soon as you are ready to commit to RCTC.
Ray Mikesh Distinguished Theatre Scholarship

Awarded to a student graduating from RCTC who is pursuing a four-year degree that will enable a professional career in the theater or theater education. The student must have distinguished him or herself in RCTC theater productions (majority) and/or additional theater productions in such areas as assistant director, actor, scenery designer or costumer. The recipient must have been and plans to be a full time student with a minimum graduating grade point average of 3.0.
RCTC BUM Instructors Fund

Awarded to Returning Students pursuing a BUM Major. The student should possess a 2.5 GPA and be enrolled in the program. A 200 - 300 word essay on their involvement in community service within the past two years and how it relates to his/her professional growth for the BUM program. Funds will be given to a BUM student for tuition, book purchases, or college fees. Copy of FAFSA will be required to determine basis of need. Verification of references for contact must be provided.
RCTC Foundation Scholarship

The recipient must have participated in documented (verifiable) measurable community service activities or participated in volunteer activities at their high school or at RCTC, GPA of 2.5 is required.
Reif Female Academic Scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded to a female student who has a GPA at RCTC of 3.0 or above, demonstrates financial need, and has been involved in community-related activities and volunteer experiences. Preference will be given to a student who has also participated in athletics at the high school and/or college level in the past. Letter of reference from a teacher/instructor/coach is required.
Renee and Bill Brunner Scholarship

Awarded to a student, incoming or returning, from Southeastern Minnesota who was involved in high school activities such as athletics, student clubs, band, choir, and/or theatre. Recipient must carry a minimum of 12 credits and major in business or computer related field.
Rick Stelling Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a student from southeastern Minnesota who has a strong interest in the field of music and has participated/performed as a member of the RCTC music program.
Rochester Commercial Banks Scholarship

3.0 GPA Recipient must be a returning Full-Time RCTC Student. Recipient must be a prior resident of the City of Rochester or one of the surrounding communities. Recipient must be pursuing an Associate Degree (2 year program) or a Bachelor Degree which would result in a career in the banking industry. Example: Business and Accounting Majors.
Rochester Garden & Flower Club Scholarship

Student in the horticulture curriculum in good standing academically with RCTC qualify for this scholarship.
Rochester International Association/Phyllis Layton Scholarship

Awarded to international or refugee students entering second year of studies at RCTC.
Rochester Masonic Lodge Scholarship

Awarded to a currently enrolled Nursing Program student enrolled at any accredited institution. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and be a resident of MN for at least one year. Two reference letters and an essay on the value of education for nursing (500-600 words). Preference is given to students who have performed community service in any health care facitlity. Examples of contributions to your community must be provided, good moral character is expected.
Roger Ready Memorial Scholarship

The student that will be awarded this scholarship must have previously worked in the Health Care System and be able to display financial need.
Ruth and Frank Heck Scholarship

A student pursuing studies to become a licensed practical nurse will receive this award.
Science Department Scholarship

Awarded to students planning to major in a science related area with a cumulative 3.3 GPA. Level of difficulty of courses taken will be considered.
Shades of Green Hosta Society of Southeast MN Scholarship

To be awarded to a returning student committed to the Horticulture program with a 2.75 GPA or higher. The student is required to attend a SOGH meeting. (:$) (:$)

Awarded to students enrolled in Associate Degree Nursing program who have completed Nursing 1117.
St. Mary's Hospital Scholarship

Awarded to students enrolled in Associate Degree Nursing program who have completed Nursing 1117.
Steve Bakke Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to an incoming or returning student attending RCTC who is pursuing a career in computer science and/or engineering. The student must be a graduate of a Minnesota high school with a demonstrated mathematical academic background or interest, demonstrated financial need and a 3.0 GPA.
Stewart, Webster, Hummer Scholarship

Awarded to a full-time student who completed their freshman year with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Student must be majoring in business, accounting, computer science, health field, or science.
Susan Dobbe Memorial Scholarship

The award goes to a second year RCTC student majoring in Music Technology who has demonstrated commitment to the program.
Suzanne Kavanaugh Dinusson Women in Business Scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded to a female returning student who is majoring in the field of Business Management or Business Administration. The applicant must demonstrate documented in-depth volunteer community related activities. The applicant must be committed to the volunteer experience and is on track and intends to complete a Bachelors Degree in Business Management or Business Administration, not accounting.
T. Emil and Dorothy Gauthier Scholarship

The recipient of the T. Emil and Dorothy Gauthier Scholarship will be an exceptional student (minimum 3.0 GPA) pursuing a manufacturing technical degree program ( i.e. CAD, mechanical drafting, B.U.M.) at RCTC. The recipient should be a second year/returning student and can be enrolled full or part-time.
UCR Asian Student Association Scholarship

The Asian Student Organization Scholarship will be awarded to two current RCTC Asian students who are carrying a minimum of nine credits and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Vern Bushlack Horticulture Scholarship

Awarded to a returning student enrolled in a Horticulture Technology Careers program at RCTC. Students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to full-time students who exhibit a strong commitment to the horticulture industry through their employment and/or activities.
Vicki, Kent, Todd Brunner Scholarship

Awarded to a student, incoming or returning, from Southeastern Minnesota who was involved in high school activities such as athletics, band, choir, and theatre. Recipient must carry a minimum 12 credits and major in business or computer science, allied health, nursing, or pre-medicine.
Virginia Brunner Taylor Scholarship Fund

Preference given to students from SE MN that are full-time returning students studying business programs.
Walter Swenberg Memorial Scholarship

Eligible student will be enrolled in the Pre-Mechanical Engineering or the Engineering Technical program. Students must qualify for financial aid. If the recipient's complete their first year of study and maintain above average academic standing, they will be eligible for a second year of funding: a new application must be submitted to be reconsidered.
Wells Fargo Scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded to a Rochester student who is pursuing an education in the field of business.
Woodwind Scholarship

The recipient of the Woodwind Scholarship will be an incoming or returning student currently taking private (applied) lessons in music. Preference will be given to a Woodwind student who wants to pursue a lifelong experience in music but any applied (major) student is eligible provided they have a 2.5 GPA . Students may be full or part-time status.
Zumbro Valley Dental Society Dental Assistant Scholarship

Top academic performers are given the award to help pay for fees. Students are chosen by the Dental Dept. Based on GPA and merit for professional patient conduct.
