This flexible Online Accelerated Option is designed for working adults interested in achieving their educational goals. Whether you are already in the process of completing a degree, considering pursuing one, or returning to college after an extended absence, this option is designed with your life in mind. Students take one class at a time, for short 4 week terms, in an intense and immersed instructional setting. You can complete an Associate of Arts (AA) degree entirely online in a two year time period, or step in and out as desired. The benefits include the ability to concentrate on a single subject, fewer distractions due to other course demands, multiple start dates, simple tuition rates for easier reimbursement, flexible online scheduling and a variety of courses.

Start Dates
Online Accelerated Option start dates include the beginning of traditional semester terms, and approximately every four weeks following. Scheduled terms include:

Tuition Rates
Tuition rate is a simple $200 per credit.

Curriculum-at-a-Glance
An Associate of Arts degree (AA) is awarded after the successful
completion of a program of 64 semester credits, and may be intended to
complete the first two years toward a baccalaureate degree (BA or BS).
RCTC’s Associate in Arts degree is 64 credits in length comprising 40 credits of General Education meeting the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum Requirements. Also included in the 64 credits are four credits of health and physical education and 20 elective credits.
Depending on the options selected courses may include: Reading and Writing Critically I and II, Contemporary Concepts in Mathematics, College Algebra, Interpersonal Communication, Psychology of Adjustment, General Psychology, Health Education, Ethics, Introduction to Sociology, International Relations, College Study Skills, Jogging/Walking, Elements of Biology, Solar System Astronomy, Art Appreciation, The Art of Being Human, Introduction to Economics, General Psychology, and Asian-American Literature. Rochester Community and Technical College is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission: A Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Students planning to transfer to another college or university with the same accreditation (North Central Associate of Colleges and Schools) and have made the proper selection of course work and maintain GPA requirements can expect to transfer with no loss of credit.
