
1. Complete both a general RCTC application (pdf) and the additional Online Accelerated Option application form (pdf) and return to Admissions Office. If you are a current RCTC student you only need to complete the OAO application. If you have been an RCTC student in the past, you'll need to complete the Intent to Return application.
2. If you have taken college courses for credit at RCTC or another institution, submit the official transcripts to Admissions Office. (There are minimum GPA expectations to be accepted)
3. If you do not have any college credits, assessment testing is required. (There are specific requirements for both Math and English) Learn more about the testing.

4. Once the previous steps have been completed, schedule a telephone or in-person session to gain acceptance into the program by contacting a staff member:

5. View the OAO schedule of courses and determine which block term and courses(s) you are interested in registering for.
6. Once you have been officially enrolled in the OAO program, register for the courses in the RCTC web portal. You will be given an access code to register.
NOTE: Be sure to select the online OAO option in order to view only the upcoming OAO course offerings.
7. Complete the required OAO D2L prerequisite by logging in to D2L at rctc.ims.mnscu.edu, and self registering in the upper navigation bar. This self-paced course is required for all RCTC online courses, unless you have a transcript showing successful completion of an online course at any higher education institution.
