Adjunct and Temporary Part-time Faculty Job Opportunities

TEMPORARY PROFESSIONAL LEVEL POSITIONS:

Science Lab Assistant: RCTC is accepting applications for a part-time temporary evening lab assistant (CLA) position for Spring 2018, to start asap.

Minimum requirements include: Post-secondary coursework in Chemistry sufficient to provide technical lab services for students, faculty, and staff; or 6 months of teaching/tutoring experience in Chemistry at the high school level or above; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Hours worked will be: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

The position exists to support faculty and student learning, to reduce waste and duplication, and to increase efficiency of the laboratory operations by:

  1. overseeing and coordinating lab setups and cleanup;
  2. overseeing inventory for labs (supplies and equipment);
  3. requisitioning supplies and equipment for all sciences;
  4. maintaining orderliness and safety in labs and stockrooms;
  5. maintaining general security and safety in lab areas.

ADJUNCT/TEMPORARY PART-TIME Faculty Positions:

RCTC is currently looking for adjuncts in the following disciplines for Spring 2018 Semester:

 

Music: RCTC is accepting application for Adjunct faculty positions in Music. Areas of emphasis are Concert Choir, Concert Band, and Music appreciation. Minimum requirements include: Master's degree with a major in music or a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in music. For more information regarding credentialing requirements, refer to the MNSCU College Faculty Credentialing website. Nursing: Adjunct faculty positions available for Clinical AD Nursing courses for fall 2017 and/or spring 2018 . Minimum Qualifications (Nursing, Clinical AD Courses): Bachelor degree in nursing; four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse; one year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field (recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time or equivalent postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years; and current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license. Teaching experience preferred. Preferred cardiology experience for a day clinical and preferred pediatrics experience for an evening clinical. COACHING Positions:

Head Men's Football Coach for the RCTC Yellowjackets. This position is a seven credit activity assignment with the potential for additional assignments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, planning, budgeting, organizing, recruiting, fund-raising, student retention, NJCAA competition and promotional visibility of the organization. Required qualifications are: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred Master’s in Physical Education) and at least 5 years football coaching experience (with two years at the collegiate level preferred). Assistant Women's Basketball Coach for theRCTC Yellowjackets: This is a 4 credit position that is responsible for assisting the Head Women's Basketball Coach with coaching responsibilities and duties. Included responsibilities: Assist with practice planning and scheduling, recruiting student-athletes, assist in fund-raising activities, demonstrate ability to motivate the team and individual players. The assistant coach will also assist with game day activities, scouting of opponents, and implementing game strategy.Bachelor’s degree is required (Master’s preferred). Previous collegiate or high school experience is preferred for this position.
