RESPONSIBILITIES
The Marketing and Outreach Coordinator builds relationships with prospective
students, target populations and key stakeholders to build awareness,
generate interest and help to grow college enrollment. The Marketing
and Outreach Coordinator is responsible for:
* Coordinate on and off campus recruiting, and outreach activities/events
to targeted populations and key stakeholders as identified by admissions,
marketing and PERKINS enrollment management plans and grants.
* Provide assistance and leadership in collaboration with department
leadership, other functional areas of the college and identified partners
in the development of a comprehensive and integrated enrollment management
plan and its execution.
* Assist in the development and execution of other branding and college
relations strategies that enhance the image and awareness of the institution
in the greater Rochester area and other defined markets.
* Provide quality service to prospective students, students and stakeholders
through Enrollment Services office operations.
* Actively participate in college committee’s and represent the
institution in the community in support of its vision, mission, values
and goals.
* Assist in the use and full implementation of Recruitment Plus in the
College life cycle by designing and executing customized communications
strategies that build and strengthen relationships with targeted populations
and key stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate must demonstrate that s/he possesses the following
qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
* Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing,
education, business administration, management or related field.
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
* Strong technical abilities with computers, software applications,
data bases and new media (instant messaging, web communities, podcasting,
blogs).
* Ability to multi-task and manage simultaneous projects, events and
activities.
* Good analytical capability to evaluate and assess data and information
to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing, recruiting
and outreach efforts.
* Good judgement and the ability to represent the College in a professional
manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in post-secondary admissions, recruiting and/or marketing.
* Ability to analyze opportunities for improvement using continuous
quality improvement, team-based and other problem solving approaches
supporting college vision, mission, values and goals.
EMPLOYMENT CONSIDERATIONS
This is a full-time, unclassified professional position (MnSCU Academic
Professional 1) covered under the State of Minnesota/ Minnesota Association
of Professional Employees (MAPE) bargaining agreement. Beginning annual
base salary is approximately $33,178 (in accordance with the MAPE contract
http://www.doer.state.mn.us/lab-rel/cntracts.htm),
and includes excellent fringe benefits.
