Critical New Findings from the "Managing Online Education" Study

Featured Higher Education Presenters:
Dr. Kenneth C. Green and Russell Poulin

The good news is that online enrollments keep rising. In some “hot” sectors, they’re exploding! The bad news is, many higher education institutions are struggling to keep up with the demands and fast innovations required by online education.

Is your institution one of the ones trying to navigate the new world of e-learning?

Until now, colleges have been operating their online programs without clear benchmarks or reliable data. They’ve basically been “shooting in the dark” in this emerging field and hoping to hit their target.

That’s about to change. Thanks to a new survey sponsored by The Campus Computing Project and WCET, higher education institutions will finally have access to comprehensive information to drive their online education planning efforts.

In Critical New Findings from the “Managing Online Education” Study, Dr. Kenneth C. Green and Russell Poulin will present the first-ever national survey data on online education management issues.

What you will learn

The survey covers a broad range of instructional, planning, and policy issues affecting online programming, including:

  • Benchmarking data on what comparable institutions are doing
  • Marketing and recruitment strategies
  • Preferred instructional technologies
  • How to train faculty for online courses
  • Academic and IT support services
  • Assessment practices
  • Online tuition and fees

This ambitious study included higher education institutions across the board, ranging from two-year programs through college and graduate school, both public and private.

Who will benefit from this seminar?

This specialized seminar is an absolute must for anyone involved in online education, at all levels of postsecondary education. This includes:

  • Administrators in charge of online education
  • Faculty teaching or planning online courses
  • Information technology and support staff
  • Corporate providers serving the online education market
