Every business, government and nonprofit entity has a need for accounting. Pay and benefits vary with employer size, location and type. Compensation also varies with the employee’s education, experience and responsibility.
Students can start coursework any semester. Some courses are offered online or as flexlab. Some courses are not offered every semester so students are encouraged to meet with program advisors to plan ahead.
RCTC offers three program options for students interested in accounting. These include technical programs and a transfer program. The technical programs are for a student who is looking for intensive short-term training for immediate employment. The technical programs are not designed for purposes of transfer; however, some courses may transfer. The programs range from 32 semester credits to 64 semester credits.
