Solid Works

The new BUZZ in the CAD Department:

The Dimension 3D printer builds accurate models layer by layer using durable ABS plastic. This state-of-the-art technology provides our CAD students the ability to create accurate models to evaluate design concepts and test for functionality, form, and fit.

Check out this article on the Medical models made at RCTC for the Conjoined Twins at Mayo Clinic.

The Universal V-460 Laser is used for creating prototypes.  We can transfer drawings from CAD directly to the laser to cut parts.

The ShopBot CNC router can machine a 5' x 8' peice of materal. Students have made signs, molds, guitar bodys, a 3/4 size harp and many other fantastic projects.

Visit our Special Projects I & II classes for student projects made on the ShopBot.
