CAD Program Highlights

CAD Technology

  • CAD drafters turn concepts, ideas, and rough sketches into mechanical prints, then “prototypes” or finished parts can be fabricated.
  • RCTC CAD courses are taught in state-of-the-art facilities featuring the latest releases of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Employment opportunities are excellent!

Solid Worksautocad

The new BUZZ in the CAD Department:

The Dimension 3D printer builds accurate models layer by layer using durable ABS plastic. This state-of-the-art technology provides our CAD students the ability to create accurate models to evaluate design concepts and test for functionality, form, and fit.
The Universal V-460 Laser is our newest machine for creating prototypes.  We can transfer drawings from AutoCAD directly to the laser to cat parts.
