a shortage of qualified dental assistants locally, statewide and nationally.

EMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION:
Salary ranges vary depending upon credentials, job description and geographic location. In this area, graduates entering the job market as a Certified and Registered Dental Assistant have started in the range of $12.00 to $16.00 per hour (according to the July 2000 RCTC Dental Assisting graduate survey). The range may be higher in the metro area.
