
Name: Crataegus laevigata ‘Superba’ Crimson Cloud Hawthorn

Crimsom Cloud hawthorn bears bright red flowers with a star shaped white center. Resistant to leaf spot diseases it provides a second colorful display in autumn when covered with glossy red fruit which persists in winter. A thornless tree with zig-zag, ascending branches reaching 15 to 20 feet in height and 10-15 feet in spread. This tree was planted in the spring of 2007 as a memorial to those who lost their lives during the Virginia Tech shooting.
