This serviceberry is a hybrid between A. arborea and A. laevis. Autumn Brilliance will reach 20 feet at maturity. It is a graceful, smaller tree covered with white blossoms each spring and edible purplish-black fruit in late June. The fruit is delicious (fresh or jelly) and attracts a number of birds to the landscape. The foliage turns a brilliant reddish-orange in autumn.
