Admission
Requirements
Prerequisites:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Enrollment at RCTC
- Elementary Algebra (MATH 0098) with a “C” or better or equivalent.
- 3 credits of college composition within the last two years ENGL 1117 or
higher suggested
- State certified and/or nationally registered as an EMT-Basic or Intermediate.
- A minimum of 50 encounters as a primary care giver preferably in the pre-hospital
setting.

Application to the ICP Program is a 3-step process:
- Apply to RCTC and meet college
admission requirements, this includes submitting
official high school and college transcripts (if any) for evaluation.
- Seek academic advisement to ensure that all prerequisites are completed.
- Complete and submit an ICP Program Application by June 15 for the next
Fall semester. Students will be admitted according to the Admissions Point
Structure.
Admission: Admitted students will be required:
- To submit completed
health forms, physical exam, immunizations, hepatitis,
and health insurance documentation.
- To complete the State of Minnesota Background Study Form (completed during the first week of class).
- To maintain current EMT and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
certification.
