How do I apply?
- You must first be admitted to Rochester Community and Technical
College. If you haven't been admitted, apply now.
- Apply to the Intensive Care Paramedic program.
- What is the application deadline?
Apply for Fall Semester by June 15.
- How many applicants will be accepted?
Approximately 20 students will be accepted into the program for each
section. Due to this
limitation, not all qualified applicants will be offered a seat in the
program.
- How and when will I be notified of my admission status into the
paramedic program?
A letter will be mailed from the Admissions and Records Office approximately
one month after
the application deadline.
- Will my general education courses transfer?
Once RCTC receives official transcripts, a transfer evaluation will be completed
and mailed to
your home address.
- What is the difference between the day
and night program?
The day program is designed for the full time student. Classes meeting
three days per week from 8:00-1:50. Students begin with the fall
semester in August and are in school continuously until the end of
summer session in August. The night program is geared for the part time
student who works a day job or simply desires a slower paced program.
Class meets for two four hour sessions per week. Students will attend
class during the fall and spring semesters for two consecutive years.
The course content is the same for both programs.
- I am already a paramedic, but I am interested in obtaining a college degree. What can RCTC do to help me?
RCTC offers an Advanced Standing ICP Program for working paramedics seeking a college degree. This program gives you credit for the paramedic courses you have already taken and allows you to complete the general education credits necessary for an AS degree. Learn more...
