Upon completion of the Nursing Assistant program at RCTC, students will achieve the following outcomes:

  • Communicate one's roles and responsibilities clearly to patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team. (communication)
  • Perform personal and technical care skills within safe standards of care as a member of the patient centered healthcare team. (patient care skills)
  • Respect the dignity and privacy of patients while maintaining confidentiality and providing a high standard of care. (professionalism)

The students are evaluated each clinical experience by the PCA or RN they are working with regarding these three (3) outcomes. These evaluations are collected upon completion of each of the four (4) clinical experiences.  Students may submit these with their employment applications to Mayo Clinic when applying for positions.
