Student Nurse Forum

 

FORUM MISSION STATEMENT

Purpose
The purpose of this organization is to provide a mechanism for student nurse involvement with decisions regarding the Nursing programs of Rochester Community & Technical College.  The Forum will also work to increase the students' knowledge of professional issues and to assist with job placement.  Students will work together to form a stronger intra-program student bond and to provide the basis for a strong involved alumni group.

Goals

  1. Goal 1.  To involve the Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing students in events that  promote a cohesive student body within a caring environment.
  2. Goal 2.  To provide a risk free avenue for student feedback to faculty regarding the Nursing Program Curriculum.
  3. Goal 3.  To assist students to gain a broader professional perspective regarding nursing careers.
  4. Goal 4.  To assist in job placement of students through networking with healthcare institutions, leaders in healthcare, and alumnae.

Membership
All students currently enrolled in the Rochester Community & Technical College Associate Degree Nursing Program, Practical Nursing, and Nursing Assistant program are eligible for membership.

Meetings

Meetings are held the first Thursday of the month in HS 128 from 4-5pm. Any student is welcome to attend.
