FORUM PURPOSE
The nursing forum is an official organization for all students interested in the nursing occupation. The organization promotes collegiality within nursing, and works to serve the student body as well as the community at large. The organization follows the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics.
Goals
- To care for the community through service and have fun doing so!
- To connect with other nursing students and with faculty, providing support and feedback
- To assist in professional advancement of alumnae through networking with healthcare and educational institutions
- To provide education on topics pertinent to nursing
Membership
The nursing forum is open to all students who are interested in nursing.
Meetings
For meeting information, email the officers or look for signs on campus. Meetings are usually on the third Thursday of each month at 4:00 in HS 128 or room TBA.
Events
Past community service events have included helping out at American Cancer Society Hope Lodge dinners every month, assisting at the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Halloween party, participating in craft activities with residents at nearby long-term care facilities, doing health fairs, organizing a career fair at RCTC each year, and many other fun activities. We are always open to new ideas!
