Below is a copy of an e-mail from Denise Sorom, Executive Director of the Rochester Art Center, for the over 300 hours that the Retail Merchandising Students, under the direction of Suzanne Dinusson, Retail Merchandising Program Coordinator, did for a recent fund raiser at the Rochester Art Center. An article and pictures will be in the January Rochester Magazine featuring Art Bash 2006 Benefit with some of the RCTC, RMDS students and the work they did for the event.
Dear RCTC Retail Merchandising Students,
On behalf of the board and staff of the Rochester Art Center, I extend a heartfelt "thank you" for all your hard work on ART Bash 2006! The three silent auction rooms that you created were absolutely stunning and the design certainly made the auction items sing. The décor was essential in our ability to pull off the theme of the night and you helped us do so with your creative energy.
I have heard countless comments on how amazed guests were at the "transformation" of our messy studio spaces and how innovative the décor upstairs was. I think that the ambience you created in those spaces made the long trip up the stairs very worthwhile, and that is all due to your talent.
In the end, your efforts helped the Art Center raise over $38,000 for its exhibitions and educational programming and I hope you take enormous pride in this. Rarely do we see such dedication and commitment to excellence as we did in working with you.
I wish you all the best this holiday season.
Most sincerely,
Denise Sorom
Executive Director, Rochester Art Center
