Thank you for your interest in Surgical Technology at RCTC. To be considered for Fall 2010, please submit an application between January 1, 2010 and February 15, 2010.

MAKE SURE you have read and understand the Surgical Technology Second Year Selection Process before filling out the application for the ST program.

Second Year Selection Process:
1. Application for Second Year must be completed by February 15. The form is available on the Surgical Technology website (see below). The application must be turned in to Health Career Advisor, Eric Sime, 507-280-5006, eric.sime@roch.edu. The Surgical Technology application is available in .pdf format.

2. Twenty-five (25) students will be accepted into second-year based on these criteria:

A. Priority for Admission into the second year will be given to students who have completed all first year classes or will have completed all first year classes by the end of spring semester.

B. A minimum grade of 2.0 (C) in BIOL 1217, 1218, CHEM 1101 is required.

C. Overall GPA 2.0.

D. Three points will be given for each of the following classes completed:
BIOL 1217, BIOL 1218, CHEM 1101, BETC 1600 and NA 1609. 
One point will be given for each other first-year course completed.

E. The semester you declared Surgical Technology as your major.

F. If all criteria are equal, cumulative GPA will be used.

G. Students will be notified of admission into second year before Fall semester registration.
