Diversity Council:

The RCTC Diversity Council ensures the College seeks to foster and to model a campus environment that is welcoming, safe, and inclusive to all.

  • Charge:
    The Diversity Council is charged by the President to advance policies, diversity strategies and programs related to increasing academic success for underrepresented students, creating and maintaining a welcoming climate, building a diverse workforce and student body, and incorporating diversity within the curriculum. The Diversity Council, in collaboration with internal and external partners, will hold RCTC as an institution accountable for making continued progress towards a culture supportive of diversity and inclusion.

  • Membership:
    The Council shall, at minimum, consist of the following members appointed by their union, the Student Senate, or the President respectively:
    • Four (4) Faculty Members, one from each academic dean’s area
    • Four (4) Staff Members
    • Two (2) Students
    • Two (2) Managers
    • Two (2) Administrators
  • The Council shall be chaired by the college’s Chief Diversity Officer. The Council may elect other officers as needed by a simple majority vote.

    The College President and Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management shall be ex-officio non-voting members of the Council.

  • MN Transfer Curriculum
    The Minnesota Transfer Curriculum emphasizes our common membership in the human community, personal responsibility for intellectual lifelong learning, and an awareness that we live in a diverse world. The MN Tranfer Curriculum is integrated in many of RCTC's Programs of Study, particularily the Liberal Arts and Sciences AA Program, which is designed for the purpose of transfer to a bachelor’s degree at another college or university.
DASH Grant Student Emergency Fund:

Dash is an emergency grant program for two-year public, technical and community colleges in Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. Dash will assist low income students who face unexpected financial setbacks, in order to help students complete their educational goals. Learn more about the Student Emergency Fund (SEF).
