Student Life Clubs and Organizations

 

 

Start a new club! Any group of students wishing to form a club for any purpose must secure a charter from the RCTC Student Senate. Clubs are a great way to share your interest and talents with other like-minded students and the whole college community! Call the Student Senate Office at 285-7207.

 

  • Animal Health Technology
  • The purposes or objectives of the RCTC Animal Health Technology Students are: 1. to promote the professional and educational advancement of veterinary technicians, 2. to promote and maintain the professional image and high ethical standards of the veterinary technician. 3. to promote progressive and humane medical care for all creatures, 4. to promote and maintain a cooperative professional relationship with the veterinary medical profession, 5. to promote an interest in National Association of veterinary technicians, 6. to serve as a contact between members of NAVTA and the Animal Health Technology students, 7. to further the social and scientific advancement of R.A.H.T.S.

  • Armed Forces and Veterans Club
  • The Armed Forces and Veterans Club is open to all students who are interested in supporting our troops and veterans.

  • The Art Club serves as an official organization for students interested in art history and the studio arts. The club will manage and host visiting artists selected by members. The club will organize field trips to museums, art centers and artist's studios as interest dictates.

  • Asian Student Organization
  • The Asian Student Organization exists to help create awareness of the importance of higher education in the community, especially in the Asian communities in the city of Rochester; to provide the community, the college and the Rochester area, with opportunities for cross-cultural experiences; to offer assistance, support, and encouragement to the students of the University Center Rochester.

  • BUM Club
  • The BUM Club exists to promote The Building Utilities Mechanics Program on campus, in the community, and to increase interest in this field of study amongst potential students. It will help establish unity between first and second year students. The club will participate in school activities, and will participate in an annual event to better the community.

  • To serve as an official organization for students interested in Democratic leaning politics. To promote Democrats on campus, in the community and to increase interest in this field of study amongst potential students. To create a social group that will encourage students to get involved with events on campus, in the community and volunteering for the good of all. The club will participate in school activities and events to better the community, which may include:
    • A forum of area legislators talking about educational issues or other issues
    • Learning about election strategies by working with local legislators and candidates
