The program consists of three components: the academic year program, the six-week summer enrichment program, and the bridge program.

Academic Year Program

• Weekly After-School Tutoring Sessions
• Monthly Saturday Sessions
• College and Career Planning
• Skills Assessment
• Monitoring of Academic Progress
• Visits to regional colleges and universities
• Personal and Cultural Development

Summer Program

• Opportunity to Live and Learn in a College Environment
• Intensive Academic Classes
• Educational Trips
• Career Awareness and Study Skills Seminars
• Access to UCR Campus Facilities and Resources

Bridge Program

• Assistance with College Selection and Applications
• Financial Aid and Scholarship Search and Preparation
• Standardized Test Preparation
• Up to threefree credits at Rochester Community and Technical College during the summer after graduation from high school
• Assistance in connecting students with RCTC services such as tutoring, advising and counseling, as well as providing names of Student Support Services contacts at other colleges where they will be attending
• Awarding of an Upward Bound Scholarship
