Registration Instructions
Course Registration:
Before you can register for any course at RCTC, you must first be admitted
to the college. Registering for a course is akin to buying a service; you
purchase the courses you want to take. Prior to registering for any course,
we recommend you read about the deadlines
for dropping a course and the related
refund policy.
RCTC further recommends that you consult with your program
advisor or counselor
to determine which courses are most appropriate for you. The course offerings
can be viewed in our catalog
and course schedule.
How to Register:
You may register at the registration counter during regular business hours
or via your online account and according to the registration windows. To
do so online, follow these instructions:
- login to your online account
- select the proper semester
- select the 'registration' tab
- select 'search for open sections' from the menu
- select the appropriate department from the drop-down list
- enter the course number and/or time-range for your desired course
- click 'search for open sections' button to display available courses
NOTE: courses that are full will NOT display
- identify the course you wish to register for and click the corresponding
6-digit course ID number at the far left
- Enter your PIN or password, click 'process request'
button
- You should receive a confirmation that the course was
added or an error message; verify that the transaction was
processed successfully or respond appropriately.
- Repeat steps 4 through 10 for each course.
- Once you've finished registering, select the 'view/modify class
schedule' link to verify that your schedule is as you
intended .
- Print your schedule; you are now registered and obligated
for payment and grading in these courses.
