Assisted Living Consortium
The Center for Business and Workforce Education has been able to work with a consortium of assisted living facilities through a Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Grant.
This grant allowed BWE to partner with six facilities throughout rural Southeastern Minnesota to develop curriculum to meet the education requirements for resident assistants. The facilities included in the consortium were:
- Garden Cottage Assisted Living - Stewartville
- Wildwood Grove - LeRoy
- Spring Valley Senior Living - Spring Valley
- Park Lane Estates - Preston
- Heritage Grove - Harmony
- Spring Grove Assisted Living - Spring Grove.
This funding not only allowed RCTC to develop five DVDs that are now available to other assisted living facilities, but was the catalyst for development of future relationships.
Because of the successful outcomes of this project, RCTC was able to receive additional funding to partner with Spring Valley Senior Living to develop curriculum focusing on Complex Cares, specifically, IV Therapy and Feeding Tubes for their Long Term Care facility and Home Health Agency.
