Annual RCTC Physics Demo Shows this weekend


The annual RCTC Physics Demo Shows are this weekend, Saturday, March 7, at 2 and 7 p.m., and Sunday, March 8, at 2 p.m. in Hill Theatre.

Tickets are $7 at the door, and RCTC students get in free with an ID. Bring a non-perishable food donation for the Student Food Cupboard and receive $1 off admission.

The shows consist of many demonstrations and activities and the audience is involved encouraged to participate. People of all ages can come and enjoy the show – K-12 students are particularly encouraged to come.

The theme of this year’s show is Physics and Music, and there will be many demonstrations involving sound and music, as well as some of the yearly classics the bed of nails, Van de Graaff generator (electricity), and more.

The funds raised will go to support the RCTC Physics and Engineering student club and their trip to Boulder, Colo., in April to visit science laboratories at companies and national labs.
