The Yellowjacket Volleyball Team took on St. Cloud Tech at home on Sept. 26 and swept the match. Set scores were 25-12, 25-14, and 25-17. Both teams were unbeaten in conference play up until this match.

Tori Peterson had 12 kills. Jesnasha Jamison had three serve aces. Jessica Foster had 27 assists. Ashley Bichel had three block solos, and Maria Tibesar and Jamison had two each. Johanna Bungum, Carly McCabe, and Foster each had eight digs. Peterson and Jamison each had 13 points.

The Yellowjackets play next on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 6:30 p.m. at Anoka-Ramsey.

The Yellowjackets are 6-0 in conference and 12-6 overall and ranked sixth in NJCAA national polls.


The football team took on Itasca on Saturday, Sept. 26, winning 54-18 to bring them to a 5-0 record.

Nick Rooney threw seven touchdown passes on 423 yards passing. He tied his own single-game team record for touchdown passes in a game, which had set and tied three times last year.

Patrick Bolton had 10 catches for 112 yards; Connor Watts had seven catches for 990 yards; and Jalen Esters had eight catches for 87 yards.

The Yellowjackets had 685 yards of offense and had no turnovers.

Cody Stanger had six solo tackles, which included a sack, and five assisted tackles. Roman Coats and Devon Dorvil each had six total tackles. Garrett Pemelton and Charles Jefferson each had one sack.

The Yellowjackets play their final home game on Saturday, Oct. 3, against Fond du Lac on 5 p.m.

The team is ranked ninth in NJCAA national polls and first in MCAC state polls.
