Christopher Golden Glove recipient

goldengloveCongratulations to Taylor Christopher, 2B, Jackson County Central High School, a recipient of the 2015 American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Gold Glove Award for NJCAA DIII Baseball.

“This is an Awesome award!” Head Coach Steve Hucke stated. “Taylor had a great two years here and did an excellent job defensively this year for us!”

Taylor had 52 putouts, 65 assists, 4 errors and turned 14 double plays for a .967 Fielding %.

“He is very steady out there. I believe those four errors occurred early in the season within our first 10-12 games,” Said Hucke. “I’m proud of what he accomplished and what a great way to be recognized for his play.”

The Gold Glove Awards are presented annually by Rawlings and selected by the ABCA. These prestigious awards are chosen by the ABCA All-America Committee for each Division.

Christopher finished his two years as a Yellowjacket last spring and will continue to play at UW-Platteville (NCAA DIII) Platteville, WI while majoring in Agricultural Business.

Congratulations Taylor!
