Lady Yellowjackets play at Anoka-Ramsey Classic

Women’s Basketball

The women’s basketball team traveled Friday and Saturday, Dec. 19-20, for the Anoka-Ramsey Classic.

The Yellowjackets first took on Vermilion Community College Friday with a 91-70 win.

Tailor Raymond brought in a whopping 35 points, and Danielle Adams sank 22. Natalie Reinardy brought home 14 for the Yellowjackets. Raymond also had 10 rebounds.

The ladies hit 16 of 23 free throws and threw seven 3-pointers.

The next day the Yellowjackets lost to Bismarck State College 75-106.

Raymond led again with 21 points, and Adams had 17. Raymond had 11 rebounds.

The team hit almost 80 percent of their free throws, sinking 19 of 24 of them.

The Yellowjackets play next at the Anoka-Ramsey Tournament on Friday and Saturday, Jan 2-3. They play North Dakota State College of Science at 1 p.m. Friday and Hibbing Community College at 11 a.m. Saturday.

 

The men’s basketball team plays next at the Anoka-Ramsey Tournament as well. They play NDSCS at 3 p.m. on Friday and Dakota County Technical College at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Wrestling’s next match is Tuesday, Jan. 6, here at RCTC.
