The men’s basketball team took on St. Thomas JV on Monday, Dec. 14, and won 85-76.
Demetrius Cady scored a big 26 points. Eighteen of those points were three-pointers, with Cady sinking six of his ten attempts.
The Yellowjackets nabbed nearly 82% of their free throws and had 39 rebounds.
Overall, the Yellowjackets are 10-1.
The team plays next on Saturday, Jan. 2, at 3 p.m. at North Dakota State College of Science.
The women’s basketball team won one and lost one at the Anoka-Ramsey Classic last weekend.
On Friday, Dec. 18, the Yellowjackets beat Vermilion 97-50. Justine Gonzalez sank 20 points and Johanna Bungum 17. Gonzalez went 100% on her three-pointers, sinking four of her four attempts. Bungum added another three three-pointers.
Nearly 93% of the team’s free throws made it in the basket, and the team had 41 rebounds.
On Saturday, Dec. 19, the Yellowjackets took on Bismarck at the Anoka-Ramsey Classic, and lost 82-101.
Nathalie Ratliff and Bungum each scored 16 points during the game. Reed Klunder sank three three-pointers. The team had 46 rebounds.
Overall the team is 6-6.
The lady Yellowjackets play next on Saturday, Jan. 2, at 1 p.m. vs. North Dakota State College of Science.
