Men’s Basketball

The men brought home a win on Wednesday, Feb. 10, as they played at home for Fan Appreciation night. The team played Anoka-Ramsey and won 62-59.

Ben Ratliff scored 16 points during the game. Demetrius Cady sank three three-pointers.

The team had 42 rebounds.

On Saturday, Feb. 13, the men traveled to Worthington to take on Minnesota West and won, 79-63.

Cady scored 20 points during the game, including four three-pointers. Marquise Walker scored 16 points.

The Yellowjackets scored a little more than 77% of their free throws during the game and had 42 rebounds.

The Yellowjackets play next on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at St. Cloud Technical and Community College at 6 p.m. The team is 23-2 overall and 11-1 in conference. The men are ranked third in the NJCAA DIII national polls.


Women’s Basketball

After a strong start, the lady Yellowjackets lost to Anoka-Ramsey on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 62-70.

The women were up three points at the end of the first half but couldn’t keep Anoka-Ramsey from a better second half.

Nathalie Ratliff scored 15 points during the game, including two three-pointers. The team had 45 rebounds and scored nearly 69% of its free throws.

On Saturday, Feb 13, the basketball team took on Minnesota West and won, 55-43.

Johanna Bungum scored 14 points during the game, including two three-pointers. Jessica Foster had five steals during the game. The team had 41 rebounds.

The Yellowjackets are 14-9 overall and 7-2 in conference. The team plays next on Saturday, Feb. 20, against Western Technical College at home at 1 p.m. This is the last regular-season game for the ladies; the Region 13A tournament starts on Friday, Feb. 26.



The Softball season begins next week on Friday, Feb. 26, with the Early Bird Tournament to take place in the Bubble at the Rochester Regional Stadium. The team takes on NIACC at 9 a.m., Iowa Central at 1 p.m., Des Moines at 5 p.m., and Marshaltown at 9 p.m.
