We are thanking our basketball fans for supporting the Yellowjackets with free food. The women’s and men’s basketball teams will play that evening: women at 6 p.m. and men at 8 p.m. Food will be served at 7 p.m. until it’s gone.

The ladies added another win to the season after playing Minnesota State Community and Technical College on Saturday, Feb. 6. They won 86-71.
Johanna Bungum scored 22 points during the game, scoring four three-pointers. Reed Klunder added another four three-pointers during the game, scoring a total of 16 points.
The team scored nearly 67% of its free throws.
The women’s basketball team plays next on Wednesday, Feb. 10, during Fan Appreciation Night here at RCTC against Anoka-Ramsey at 6 p.m.
The team is 13-8 overall and 6-1 in conference.
The men’s basketball team took on Riverland on Wednesday, Feb. 3, and won 72-64.
Demetrius Cady led with 14 points during the game, nine of which were three-pointers. The team had 38 rebounds and scored a little more than 52% of its free throws.
On Saturday, Feb. 6, the team took on Minnesota State and won 69-44 after a slow start in the first quarter.
Cady scored 12 points during the game, scoring three three-pointers of the 12.
The team is 21-2 overall and 9-1 in conference. They are ranked fourth in the NJCAA Division III national polls.
The men’s basketball Yellowjackets play next on Wednesday, Feb. 19, during Fan Appreciation Night here at RCTC against Anoka-Ramsey at 8 p.m.
The wrestling team traveled to Willmar on Thursday, Feb. 4, to play Ridgewater to determine the MCAC Dual Team Champions. The Yellowjackets lost narrowly, 1-21.
Zach Scott won the 141 weight class; Brett Bradford the 157 weight class; Dustin Lee the 184 weight class; Ryan Jones the 197 weight class; and Chase Knottestad the 285 weight class.
